‘Stranger Things’ Extra Reveals His Mind-Blowing Netflix Paycheck

Up-and-coming actor Tristan Spohn recently revealed his salary for playing “Number Two” in the popular series ‘Stranger Things‘.

Tristan was in five episodes of the show, marking his first project with Netflix. He did his audition remotely from Texas and then went to Atlanta to film the season.

Netflix paid for his flights and provided a driver, which he figured totaled around $1400 roundtrip. At first, they didn’t cover his hotel, so he had no money for food when he arrived. Eventually, he was reimbursed for his six-week stay in a hotel he said looked quite fancy, costing about $7,561.

Tristan continued to earn money even when he wasn’t actively filming. He made $150 an hour for travel, which came to $2,485. Plus, he received $60 each day for meals, adding up to over $2,500 during the six-week shoot, despite the fact that food was already provided on set.

Tristan received an extra $4,000 because the show reused some of his earlier footage in later episodes. He also continues to earn money from the show’s continued popularity through ongoing payments.

I recently learned that he’s still benefiting financially from the show’s continued popularity – not just through standard residuals, which he’d already talked about, but also from performance-based bonuses. Apparently, just the viewership numbers alone have earned him over $12,000 in the last three years, which is a nice little extra on top of everything else.

I heard about how much Tristan made on that film, and it’s pretty interesting. He initially earned $30,000 for the six weeks of shooting, but with some extra work for reshoots and overtime, that bumped up to $36,000. Before anything was taken out, he made a total of $58,662. But, of course, taxes and his agency take their cut. After $15,000 went to taxes and $4,400 to his agency, he actually walked away with $38,593. It’s a good paycheck, but it shows how much doesn’t actually end up in your pocket!

Tristan said his first acting job was incredibly fulfilling. He earned almost $40,000 for six weeks of work, and also received perks like free meals and fancy lodging. Plus, he continues to earn money from the show whenever it airs, making it a fantastic beginning to his career.
