The recent Update 12 for Soulframe has made getting around the world of Midrath much easier with the addition of fast travel. While you can’t instantly reach every location, the developers at Digital Extremes – the team behind Soulframe – want to maintain the game’s focus on exploration. Still, fast travel is a helpful feature, particularly for players who aren’t new to the game, so here’s a guide on how to use it.
Soulframe Fast Travel Prerequisites
To unlock fast travel in Soulframe Preludes 12, you’ll first need to complete a specific quest and any quests that must be done before it.
- Waste Bear Quest (Bromius)
To start the Waste Bear quest, you first need to find and help Verminia, a Rat Witch. You’ll find her in a cave under a hollow tree in the center of the map, and you’ll need to finish her quest as well. Once you’ve completed both Verminia’s quest and the Waste Bear quest, Bromius will give you a Living Plant for your Nightfold hideout. This plant grows Wevetseeds, which you can use to quickly travel around the world.
Fast Travel in Soulframe
If you’ve already finished the Waste Bear quest and received Bromius’ unique plant, here’s how to quickly travel around in Soulframe:
- Go to the Nightfold
- Head to Verminia’s spot (left side if you’re walking out of the tent)
- Look for the plant and climb up the stairs to get to the plant
- Collect the Wevetseed, but think wisely before you use it for fast travel
I’ve discovered that Wevetseeds are how you fast travel around! It’s super handy, but there’s a catch – you can only travel between World Trees and Enclaves, not directly to dungeons or other landmarks. Also, right now, you can only get one Wevetseed each day from the Living Plant. Hopefully, the developers will change that limit later on, but that’s how it works at the moment.
Use your Wevetseeds carefully! Even though Soulframe has fast travel, you’ll still want to explore and walk around. It’s a good idea to save your Wevetseeds for when you really need them, especially since mounts aren’t available yet.
Unlocking all the World Trees will make getting around the game much faster. However, fast travel isn’t really meant for new players, as it requires some progress and specific items. Keep in mind that Soulframe is still very early in development, so these things could change before the final release.
