Here’s a simple guide to the new movies out this week. We’ll cover what each film is about, who stars in it, who made it, and when you can see it – everything you need to plan your movie night without extra searching.
‘Eternity’ (2025)

Directed by David Freyne, this charming romantic comedy explores what happens after life. Joan has one week to choose between spending eternity with her first love, Luke, or the man she shares her life with, Larry. The film stars Elizabeth Olsen as Joan, Miles Teller as Larry, and Callum Turner as Luke, with Da’Vine Joy Randolph and John Early playing humorous guides in the afterlife. The story is based on a previously acclaimed script and will be released to audiences on November 26, 2025, after premiering at TIFF.
‘Hamnet’ (2025)

Chloé Zhao’s new film, based on Maggie O’Farrell’s novel, tells the story of William Shakespeare and his wife Agnes as they cope with the loss of their son. The movie beautifully examines how grief impacts both their family and Shakespeare’s work. Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal deliver compelling performances as Agnes and William in a series of realistic and personal scenes. The film was a hit with audiences at the Toronto International Film Festival, winning the People’s Choice Award, and is scheduled for release on November 26, 2025.
‘Zootopia 2’ (2025)

Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde are back for a new adventure! This time, they’re facing a citywide threat linked to a sneaky character named Gary De’Snake, and their investigation takes them to brand-new areas. Ginnifer Goodwin and Jason Bateman return as the beloved characters, joined by returning favorites like Shakira and Idris Elba, and exciting new cast members including Ke Huy Quan and Quinta Brunson. The sequel will explore the growing bond between Judy and Nick as they go undercover to solve an even bigger and more complicated mystery. Look for it on November 26, 2025.
‘The Beatles Anthology’ (1995)

I’m so excited that the incredible Beatles documentary is coming back! It’s been fully restored with amazing audio improvements – Giles Martin really worked his magic. They’ve even added a whole new episode, making it nine parts total. What’s really cool is they used new technology to clean up the old recordings, so you can actually hear the vocals and instruments much more clearly. It was originally made by Geoff Wonfor and Bob Smeaton, and this new version pulls together a ton of rare footage and fresh restoration work – it’s going to be the ultimate look back at the Beatles’ career. It’s scheduled to be released on November 26, 2025, and I’ve already marked my calendar!
‘Stone Creek Killer’ (2025)

I’m really excited about this new thriller! It’s directed by Robert Enriquez and written by Clint Elliott, and it’s set in a small town where the police chief is trying to catch a serial killer. Things get even more complicated when a psychic starts having visions that might help… or just make everyone more suspicious. Clayne Crawford is the lead, and the cast also includes Lyndon Smith, Britney Young, Andrew J. West, and Adam Hicks. It’s about 96 minutes long and made by Red Baron Films. Mark your calendars – it comes out on November 28, 2025!
‘Aftershock: The Nicole P. Bell Story’ (2025)

Alesia Glidewell directed and co-wrote this movie based on the true story of Nicole P. Bell’s pursuit of justice following the 2006 police shooting of her fiancé, Sean Bell. Rayven Symone Ferrell plays Nicole, and Bentley Green portrays Sean. Richard Lawson appears as Al Sharpton, and Richard T. Jones is among the supporting cast. The film was produced by Manny Halley, Rodney Turner II, and Yolanda Halley at Imani Media Group and will be released on November 28, 2025.
‘The Thing with Feathers’ (2025)

Dylan Southern has directed a British drama based on Max Porter’s book, ‘Grief Is the Thing with Feathers.’ The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch as a father and his two sons dealing with a loss. Production companies involved include Film4, BFI, SunnyMarch, and Lobo Films, with Ben Fordesman handling the cinematography and George Cragg editing. After premiering at Sundance and showing at Berlin, the film is scheduled for release on November 28, 2025.
