Here Are All the Movies & TV Shows Coming To Paramount+ and Apple TV+ This Week, Including ‘A PAW Patrol Christmas’

‘The Road’ (2009)

The adaptation of Cormac McCarthy’s novel, directed by John Hillcoat and written by Joe Penhall, will be available on Paramount+ starting November 25th. The film, starring Viggo Mortensen and Kodi Smit-McPhee, follows a father and son’s desperate journey south through a ruined America after a catastrophic event. It also features performances by Charlize Theron, Robert Duvall, Guy Pearce, and Garret Dillahunt. Javier Aguirresarobe was the cinematographer, and the music was composed by Nick Cave and Warren Ellis. The story centers on the pair’s struggle to survive while maintaining their humanity in a lawless world.

A PAW Patrol Christmas’ (2025)

A new ‘PAW Patrol’ holiday special arrives on Paramount+ on November 28th. When Santa Claus gets stuck, and Mayor Humdinger causes trouble at the North Pole, Rubble learns what the holidays are really about. The pups team up for a musical and exciting rescue mission! This special features both new and classic songs and is part of a series of longer ‘PAW Patrol’ episodes focusing on each pup individually. Families can look forward to seeing all their favorite characters from Adventure Bay in a festive and fun setting.

‘WondLa’ (2024–2025)

The animated series based on Tony DiTerlizzi’s ‘The Search for WondLa’ comes to Apple TV+ on November 26. It tells the story of Eva, a teenager who was raised by a robot and now finds herself on the alien planet of Orbona, searching for other humans. She’s joined by her friends: Otto, a large tardigrade, and Rovender, an alien guide. The voice cast features Jeanine Mason, Teri Hatcher, Brad Garrett, and many others, with music by Joy Ngiaw. Skydance Animation and The Gotham Group produced the series, which began in 2024 and will conclude in 2025. Bobs Gannaway developed and oversaw the show, with Tony DiTerlizzi also serving as an executive producer, alongside John Lasseter, David Ellison, and Dana Goldberg.

‘Prehistoric Planet’ (2022–2025)

Premiering November 26th on Apple TV+, this documentary series brings dinosaurs and other creatures from the Late Cretaceous period to life using incredible CGI created by MPC. It’s guided by the experts at BBC Studios’ Natural History Unit and led by showrunner Jon Favreau. The series features narration by Sir David Attenborough in the initial seasons and Tom Hiddleston in Season 3, with a captivating score by Hans Zimmer, Anže Rozman, and Kara Talve. Each episode explores different environments – from coasts and deserts to freshwater habitats – all based on the latest paleontological findings. The series combines stunning visual effects with classic nature storytelling to show how these creatures lived, interacted with their environment, and survived during the Maastrichtian age.
