Vince Gilligan, who created the popular shows Better Call Saul and Breaking Bad, recently shared his thoughts on what became of Saul Goodman after the show concluded in 2022.
During an appearance on The Rich Eisen Show, Gilligan jokingly discussed what happened to the popular character Bob Odenkirk played.
When someone mentioned Jimmy McGill, also known as Saul Goodman, Vince Gilligan jokingly suggested that Donald Trump had likely pardoned him. This comment got a laugh from those present, and Gilligan continued, imagining Saul as a free man currently appearing in infomercials.
The conversation also included Huell, Saul’s bodyguard, but Gilligan wasn’t sure what happened to him after the show. He imagined Huell simply went back to living his life, noting that while he was a bit of a criminal, he was a skilled pickpocket.
Beyond Better Call Saul, Gilligan also discussed the fates of Breaking Bad characters like Skyler and Walt Jr. He expressed hope that they’ve both healed and moved forward with their lives. He believes they’ve rebuilt their lives, suggesting Skyler might now be happy and Walt Jr. could be writing a book or starting a podcast about his father.
