I have an update on the SnyderVerse and what I’m hearing from my insiders.

Okay, so here’s what I’ve been following: Variety said Saudi Arabia was partnering with Paramount to potentially buy out Warner Bros. Discovery. But Paramount quickly said that report wasn’t true. Regardless of what happens with the companies themselves, it seems pretty clear the Saudis’ main goal is to get Zack Snyder back and revive the SnyderVerse. That’s what everyone’s talking about!

No matter which company—Paramount or Comcast—the Saudis support, Dan Snyder ultimately benefits. He’s set to win regardless of the outcome.

As I mentioned on Twitter, Donald Trump’s involvement is a key factor. Reports suggest he supports a deal between Skydance and Paramount. Although he’s reportedly not a fan of Comcast’s CEO, sources tell me Comcast strategically set itself up to potentially bid for Warner Bros. Discovery by creating a separate entity for the networks Trump dislikes. This means his dislike of those networks might not actually prevent a deal.

According to my sources, Zack Snyder is aware of the details surrounding Donald Trump, and he deliberately shared the Henry Cavill Superman picture on Veteran’s Day as a way to signal that knowledge.

Actors Expected to Return

If the SnyderVerse truly comes back, that means the actors return to their roles.

Henry Cavill is returning to play Superman, and Gal Gadot will reprise her role as Wonder Woman. Jason Momoa is also set to return as Aquaman, along with Ray Fisher as Cyborg.

The biggest unknown is Ben Affleck.

I’m hearing that the plan is for Zack Snyder to finally complete his vision for the DC Universe – his ‘SnyderVerse,’ as fans call it. Apparently, the deal with the Saudi investors at Warner Bros. Discovery has been brewing for a while now, and that’s actually why Zaslav turned down the offers from Paramount a few times earlier. It all makes a bit more sense now!

Zack has a strong relationship with Saudi investors who are pushing for a continuation of his previous creative work, positioning it as direct competition to Marvel’s Avengers movies. It appears they’re trying to challenge Disney’s dominance in the superhero genre.

Once James Gunn finishes his work on the DC Universe, sources say DC plans to reboot the franchise again, probably with Mike De Luca and Pam Abdy, who currently run Warner Bros. Pictures, leading the way.

The fate of the DCU and James Gunn

Sources say James Gunn’s plans for the DC Universe are in trouble. If Paramount and Saudi investors join forces, it’s likely Gunn will be removed from his position, reportedly because of disagreements over his political views.

There’s a possibility that if Comcast (Universal) acquires Warner Bros. Discovery, James Gunn and Zack Snyder could collaborate to revive the SnyderVerse.

Sources tell me a possibility being discussed is James Gunn writing the script for a potential Justice League 2, building on a story outline already created by Chris Terrio, and Zack Snyder directing the film.

It would be fitting, as both Gunn and Snyder began their careers at Universal with the film Dawn of the Dead.
