Zack Snyder recently shared another picture of Ben Affleck as Batman, continuing a trend of posting photos from his time working on DC Comics movies that he’s been doing on Instagram for weeks.
Zack Snyder celebrated reaching 300,000 followers by sharing a black-and-white photo he took with his Leica camera. He thanked his fans and said he’s excited to continue sharing more content, as he’s only been on the platform for six weeks and is just getting started.
The photo features Ben Affleck as Batman, wearing the costume first seen in a 2014 image. It was taken with Zack Snyder’s preferred Leica camera, maintaining the dark and gritty visual style fans expect from his take on Gotham City.

Snyder’s Justice League Posts Continue to Build Momentum
Zack Snyder is continuing a trend he started around a month ago: sharing old, never-before-seen photos of his Justice League actors. He recently posted a new picture of Batman.
Recently, Zack Snyder has been posting images of actors in their DC Universe roles – including Henry Cavill as Superman, Jason Momoa as Aquaman, Jared Leto as the Joker, and several new looks at Ben Affleck’s Batman. These posts have appeared during times of intense debate about the direction of Warner Bros. Discovery and DC, leading many to believe Snyder is intentionally sending a message.
People have noticed Zack Snyder is posting more often about the main characters from his DC Universe films. This has led to speculation that he might want to work on the franchise again, or is simply showing studios there’s still interest in his vision.

The Flash Originally Teased a SnyderVerse Revival
We were the first to report that the original plan for The Flash movie involved bringing back Ben Affleck as Batman and setting the stage for a continuation of Zack Snyder’s DC Universe, with Mike De Luca leading the way. It also would have reintroduced Henry Cavill as Superman and paved the way for more appearances by Affleck. However, after James Gunn took charge of DC Studios, the ending was changed. Affleck was replaced with a cameo by George Clooney, and the storyline that would have revived Snyder’s vision was removed.
Now that Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for potential buyers, discussions among fans have turned to a previously scrapped ending. Many believe director Zack Snyder’s recent activity might be connected to these sale talks, suggesting it’s not a random occurrence.

Is Snyder Hinting at a Return?
Zack Snyder has stated he’d only consider returning to DC for a project as ambitious as The Dark Knight Returns, and while it seemed unlikely, a full return hasn’t been ruled out. Despite reports that everyone involved had moved past his vision for the DC Universe – often referred to as the ‘SnyderVerse’ – Snyder has recently been actively highlighting his previous work, including the actors, visual style, and overall tone he established.
His comment about “just getting started” has fueled more rumors, particularly with ongoing questions about James Gunn’s plans for DC and potential new ownership considering big changes. If the studio decides to move in a direction similar to Zack Snyder’s initial ideas, his return to the project seems much more likely.
