Refi for PVE
Refi is a staple for PVE and highly recommended to pull for.
Refi is crucial for achieving high scores in Last Night. Because damage in Last Night relies heavily on chaining attacks, Refi’s abilities significantly boost your overall damage. We strongly recommend upgrading her to at least +0, as even this minimal investment unlocks her full potential for chaining buffs. Reaching 110 million damage in Last Night – and earning better daily rewards – is definitely worth the effort of getting Refi to +0.
Refi is crucial for challenging content like high-level fiend hunts and guild raids. Currently, only two characters significantly boost property damage, and Refi is one of them. For fiend hunts, it’s best to build two teams: one led by Diana and one by Refi. In guild raids, you’ll typically want to include both Diana and Refi to maximize your property damage output.
When tackling difficult challenges like high-level fiend hunts and guild raids, Refi’s energy guard can be a lifesaver against powerful boss attacks. Although it’s not as strong as other energy guards – like RH.Rou (protecting up to 150% of your max HP) or AD.Diana (shielding based on 1100% of your magical attack) – it can often be the key to surviving a critical hit.
If you’re using Refi for Fiend Hunts or Guild Raids, it’s crucial to upgrade her costume as much as possible to get the best scores. The damage difference between a basic costume and a fully upgraded one is significant – you’ll go from a 40% damage boost to a full 100%. Having all of her costumes will also help you deal the most damage.
Refi can still be helpful in most PvE content, but she works best with teams that attack many times to maximize her special ability. Diana is a more reliable buffer for general PvE battles. Refi isn’t as useful in the Towers because her damage type doesn’t work well in several of them, and the Tower of Pride doesn’t reward teams that focus on hitting enemies repeatedly.
Pure White Bride (PWB) Refi’s main weakness is her high SP consumption. While Diana provides an 8-turn buff for only 2 SP and then generates 1 SP per turn through normal attacks (resulting in a net gain of 1 SP after 8 turns), Refi costs 2 SP every player turn. This means after 8 turns, she has a net loss of 8 SP. This significant ongoing SP cost can be a real problem in battles where SP is limited. Luckily, skills like Gluttonous Refi (which charges SP) and Poolside Fairy Refi (which lowers SP cost) can help offset PWB Refi’s high upkeep.
Refi for PVP
Refi isn’t a strong choice for player-versus-player combat. Her damage relies too much on specific conditions, her chain damage isn’t impactful, and she costs too much energy to maintain. Plus, her defensive buff isn’t as good as Red Hood Rou’s. In terms of both offense, defense, and how well they work with costumes, Red Hood Rou is simply better than Refi in every aspect.
Refi’s exclusive gear
Refi’s special armor isn’t worth trying to get. It only boosts Magic Resistance, and Refi doesn’t benefit from having more Magic Resistance. She’s already durable enough without it, and other armor pieces offer more useful stats.
Conclusion
Refi is a staple for PVE that every account needs to have.
If you’re new to the game, getting at least one copy of PWB.Refi is highly recommended, especially for her performance in Last Night. Placing her first in your team will significantly boost your score and help you earn better daily rewards.
If you’re aiming to tackle the hardest content (level 10+ fiend hunts), you’ll need to fully enhance this character to +5. She’s a worthwhile investment because you’ll use her frequently in both fiend hunts and guild raids. To maximize damage, combine her with characters skilled at building long attack chains, such as Wilhelmina, Luvenica, and Celia.
