‘Alien: Earth’ Officially Renewed for Season 2

FX has ordered a second season of its show Alien: Earth, according to Variety. Along with the renewal, the show’s creator, Noah Hawley, has signed a new, very lucrative deal with FX and Disney Entertainment Television – reportedly worth over $100 million.

Filming for the next season is scheduled to start in London in 2026, following the first season which was shot in Thailand. John Landgraf, chairman of FX, expressed his admiration for Noah Hawley and his creative work, stating that FX has greatly enjoyed collaborating with him for over ten years and looks forward to continuing their partnership.

Noah consistently delivers incredibly creative stories, and he’s exceptional at not only writing them, but also directing and producing them with a real flair. We’re thrilled to start working on the next season of ‘Alien: Earth,’ and we have several other promising projects in the works too.

The new TV series, Alien: Earth, is based on the popular Alien movies. It started airing on FX in August and has been well-received by both viewers and critics. The show stars Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Timothy Olyphant, Essie Davis, Samuel Blenkin, Babou Ceesay, David Rysdahl, Adrian Edmondson, Adarsh Gourav, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diem Camille, and Moe Bar-El.

I’m completely hooked by this story! It all starts when a strange spaceship comes crashing down to Earth, and let me tell you, things quickly go from bad to worse. It’s a really gripping tale about the scary aftermath of that crash.

Hawley shared his enthusiasm about renewing his contract with FX. He stated, “I’m excited this new deal creates possibilities throughout Disney Entertainment Television.”

FX has always championed ambitious, character-focused stories. Right from the start, with shows like Fargo, they’ve given me the freedom to be creative and let the story go where it needs to. I’m thrilled to keep working on ‘Alien: Earth’ with our incredible team as we move forward.

Hawley developed and leads the series as an executive producer. Joining him in that role are Ridley Scott, David W. Zucker, Clayton Krueger, Emilia Serrano, Bob DeLaurentis, Peter Calloway, Monica Macer, John Campisi, and Simon Emanuel. FX Productions handles production.
