FromSoftware recently revealed the first expansion for Elden Ring, called Shadow of the Erdtree, during Sony’s State of Play presentation. It’s scheduled to release on PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S on June 21st, and will add a lot of new content to the game. You can watch the announcement trailer below.
The new expansion, Elden Ring: Nightreign – The Forsaken Hollows, introduces two new characters you can play as: the Scholar and the Undertaker. The Scholar is a powerful academic who excels in magic and can carefully study the battlefield to gain an advantage. The Undertaker is a strong and devout warrior capable of defeating enemies quickly and decisively.
Players can look forward to two new boss battles while exploring Limveld. The landscape will also change with a new event called The Great Hollow, which creates a large cavity filled with strange ruins, temples, towers, and crystals. These crystals release a dangerous mist that drains life.
