This week offers a wide range of science fiction entertainment, from action-packed movies to fun animated adventures, and even a new TV show. We’ve included quick summaries of the stories, the main actors and creators, and where and when you can watch each title to help you decide what to enjoy.

‘The Running Man’ (2025)

Edgar Wright’s latest film is a fresh take on Stephen King’s chilling story about a dangerous game show. In the show, contestants called “runners” try to survive for a month while being hunted by professionals, all for a chance to win a large cash prize. Glen Powell stars as Ben Richards, and the film also features William H. Macy, Lee Pace, Michael Cera, Emilia Jones, Colman Domingo, and Josh Brolin. Wright wrote the script with Michael Bacall, and the music is by Steven Price, with cinematography by Chung-hoon Chung. It will be released in theaters on November 14, 2025.

‘Two Sleepy People’ (2025)

This charming independent film blends science fiction, romance, and comedy. It tells the story of two colleagues who inexplicably wake up married each day, only to revert to being strangers when morning comes. Written and directed by Baron Ryan, who also stars alongside Caroline Grossman, Sarah J. Bartholomew, and Josh Czuba, the movie was filmed quickly—in about 100 days. David Lawson Jr., Josh Czuba, and Grant McFadden produced the 93-minute film, which will be released in theaters on November 14, 2025.

LEGO Marvel Avengers: Strange Tails’ (2025)

The Avengers face a quirky challenge in this new animated special when a playful influencer causes trouble. Hawkeye and Black Panther team up with Tigra, Black Cat, and White Tiger to solve the crisis. Featuring the voices of Troy Baker, Alia Shawkat, James Mathis III, Mick Wingert, Roger Craig Smith, Laura Bailey, and Jason Alexander, this special is directed by Ken Cunningham with scripts by Eugene Son and Henry Gilroy. Jason Cosler, Harrison Wilcox, Jill Wilfert, and Keith Malone serve as executive producers. It will be available to stream on Disney+ beginning November 14, 2025.

‘Bat-Fam’ (2025–present)

Following the events of ‘Merry Little Batman’, this animated series centers on Bruce Wayne, his son Damian Wayne, and Alfred Pennyworth as they balance fighting crime in Gotham City with the challenges of everyday family life – and some unexpected visitors. Developed by Mike Roth and Jase Ricci (with Roth leading the show), the series features the voices of Luke Wilson, Yonas Kibreab, James Cromwell, Haley Tju, London Hughes, Michael Benyaer, and Bobby Moynihan. The 10-episode first season is a production of DC Entertainment, Warner Bros. Animation, and Amazon MGM Studios, and debuted on Prime Video on November 10, 2025.
