Disney is growing the world of Descendants with a new movie and plans for a three-part series. The next installment, Descendants: Wicked Wonderland, will debut on Disney Channel and Disney+ in the summer of 2026.
This movie picks up where Descendants: The Rise of Red (2024) left off, and it’s the fifth film in the beloved Descendants series.
The movie features Kylie Cantrall as Red, the Queen of Hearts’ daughter, and Malia Baker as Chloe Charming, daughter of Cinderella and King Charming. Leonardo Nam is back as Maddox Hatter, Red’s tutor. New to the cast are Liamani Segura as Red’s younger sister Pink, Brendon Tremblay as Max Hatter, Alexandro Byrd as Luis Madrigal, Kiara Romero as Hazel Hook, Joel Oulette as Robbie Hood, and Zavien Garrett as Felix Facilier. Ryan McEwen and Dayton Paradis play Squirmy and Squeaky, the twin sons of Mr. Smee. Audiences will also see returning stars Rita Ora as the Queen of Hearts, Brandy as Cinderella, and Melanie Paxson as the Fairy Godmother.
According to BeyondReporter, the upcoming Descendants trilogy will center around a romance between Princess Tatum Roger, the daughter of Tiana, and Fraiser Rider, Flynn Rider’s son. The story will also reveal that Fraiser’s mother is actually a villain.

Filming for Descendants: Wicked Wonderland happened at The Bridge Studios in Vancouver between April and May.
I’m so excited for this new movie! It looks like it’s going to be packed with adventure, magic, and everything we love about Disney, but with a whole new group of heroes and villains. And the best part? We’ll be able to watch it on Disney Channel and Disney+ in the summer of 2026 – I’ve already marked my calendar!
