I’m excited to share a rundown of all the new shows hitting Peacock this week! I’ll give you a quick overview of what each one is about, and who the stars and creators are – everything you need to know!
‘The Real Housewives of Melbourne’ (2014)

The Australian version of this popular reality series showcases the glamorous lives of wealthy women in Melbourne. Over five seasons, viewers followed the personal and professional journeys of cast members like Jackie Gillies, Chyka Keebaugh, and Gina Liano. Produced by Matchbox Pictures and originally broadcast on Arena/Foxtel, the show used multi-camera setups to capture everything from social gatherings and family life to business deals. Early seasons featured stylist Alex Perry, and Kylie Washington and Lisa Potasz were among the executive producers. The series became known for its stylish events and lavish reunion specials filmed throughout Melbourne.
‘The Real Housewives of Vancouver’ (2012–2013)

This Canadian reality show, set amongst Vancouver’s wealthy elite, follows the lives of socialites like Jody Claman, Ronnie Seterdahl Negus, Mary Zilba, Christina Kiesel, and Reiko MacKenzie (Season 1), later joined by Amanda Hansen, Robin Reichman, and Ioulia Reynolds. Produced by Lark Productions for Slice, the show blends charity events, business ventures, and personal conflicts over two seasons. Several directors contributed, including Mike Bickerton, Fred Frame, and Tara Shortt, with each episode lasting around 40 to 46 minutes. The premiere episode, which was two hours long, achieved record ratings for Slice when it first aired.
‘Unusual Suspects’ (2010–2016)

This Investigation Discovery docuseries dives into surprising twists in famous U.S. crime cases, revealing how detectives found unexpected suspects. Over eight seasons and more than 100 episodes, the show uses interviews, historical footage, and timelines to reconstruct investigations. Mocean Melvin initially narrated the series, later joined by Jamie Hanes. Diana Sperrazza and Eric Schotz have served as executive producers, with LMNO Productions handling production.
‘Surviving Mormonism with Heather Gay’ (2025)

This three-part documentary series follows Heather Gay, a star from ‘The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City,’ as she explores the history and controversies of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Inspired by her memoir, ‘Bad Mormon,’ the series includes interviews with former church members, supporters, and experts, and looks into the harmful practice of conversion therapy. The series combines Gay’s own experiences with investigative reporting and the stories of those who have survived difficult situations. It will air on Bravo and be available to stream on Peacock the next day.
‘On the Rise: JuJu Watkins’ (2024)

As a huge basketball fan, I recently checked out this six-part docuseries about JuJu Watkins, the incredible USC Trojans player. It’s a really compelling look at her journey – from being a high school phenom to making waves in college. What I loved is the access they had – you really get to know JuJu through her family, coaches, and teammates. Each episode dives into different aspects of her life, like why she chose USC, how hard she trains, the pressures of playing at a high level, and the growing spotlight on women’s college basketball. It actually premiered right before a USC game, which was a smart move, and you can find it on NBC and Peacock. It’s not just about her athletic skills, though; it’s a really well-done story about her growing up and finding her place.
