David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown were all smiles and seemed happy as they walked the red carpet at the premiere of Stranger Things Season 5.
They hugged, took pictures with fans, and exchanged kind words during interviews. Brown shared with Entertainment Tonight that she and David have a close father-daughter relationship, working together on every scene. She described having him with her throughout the project as a wonderful experience.
In an exclusive conversation with ET, Harbour shared his affection for his co-star and expressed how proud he is of all the young actors, noting their growth as artists. He also emphasized the special connection he’s made with everyone on this particular project.

The friendly public appearance happened shortly after the Daily Mail reported that Brown had accused Harbour of bullying and harassment before filming for Season 5 started. Neither actor commented on the story, and Harbour kept his interviews brief at the premiere.
I was relieved to hear that the investigation into the complaint against David Harbour was actually carried out and has been taken care of. It got a lot of attention, but apparently, Harbour wasn’t planning on doing much press for his new projects anyway. He’s incredibly busy! I know he’s already committed to an exciting new HBO series, DTF St. Louis, and then he’ll be jumping right into Avengers: Doomsday, which I’m already counting down the days for – December 2026 can’t come soon enough!
Public relations professionals believe the film premiere’s red carpet event and the cast’s joint appearance at the TCL Chinese Theater were intentionally designed to project a sense of togetherness.
As a total movie and TV buff, I’ve been following this whole situation closely. A PR expert told Variety that when a crisis hits, the first aim is simply damage control – to stop things from getting any worse. Netflix tried to show a united front by posting a video of David Harbour and Millie Bobby Brown waving to fans, and Millie’s brand even responded with a heart emoji. Honestly, a lot of fans seem to think the whole thing has been blown way out of proportion.
At the show’s premiere, creators Matt and Ross Duffer, along with executive producer Shawn Levy, addressed concerns about reports regarding the actors, but avoided directly commenting on them. Levy told The Hollywood Reporter that while many of the stories were inaccurate or simply exaggerated, they always prioritize respect for their cast and crew, considering them like family. He emphasized that this respectful treatment has always been a core principle of their work.
Ross Duffer explained that after working with the cast for a decade, they feel like family. He emphasized that creating a safe and happy environment on set is the most important thing to him and the team.
The Daily Mail got its information from a friend of Lily Allen, who is Harbour’s ex-wife. This report appeared while Allen was promoting her new album, West End Girl, which discusses her breakup with Harbour and claims he was unfaithful.
