‘Frankenstein’ (2025)

‘Groom & Two Brides’ (2025)

‘Mango’ (2025)

This Danish drama, directed by Mehdi Avaz, tells the story of a hotel manager and her teenage daughter who go to Málaga, Spain, to turn a mango farm owned by a widower into a new resort. The film stars Josephine Park and Dar Salim, with Josephine Chavarria Højbjerg playing the daughter. ‘Ballad of a Small Player’ (2025)

Edward Berger’s film, based on Lawrence Osborne’s novel, stars Colin Farrell as a gambler in Macau who’s falling apart. Tilda Swinton also appears in the supporting cast. The movie centers on Lord Doyle, who is haunted by debts and his past, and whose story crosses paths with a secretive casino employee and a determined detective. Berger once again worked with cinematographer James Friend and composer Volker Bertelmann. It became available on Netflix this Wednesday.
‘Wonka’ (2023)

Paul King’s whimsical new movie tells the origin story of Willy Wonka, starring Timothée Chalamet as the young chocolatier. The film also features Olivia Colman, Hugh Grant, and Rowan Atkinson. Co-written by Paul King and Simon Farnaby, it follows Wonka’s early adventures, his incredible candy creations, and a battle against a powerful group known as the Chocolate Cartel. The music is by Joby Talbot, with songs written by Neil Hannon. It became available on Netflix on November 1st.
‘Elvis’ (2022)

Baz Luhrmann’s film Elvis tells the story of the iconic singer’s life and career, focusing on his complex relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Austin Butler stars as Elvis, with Tom Hanks playing Parker. The film was written by Luhrmann and a team of writers, beautifully shot by Mandy Walker, and received numerous awards, including nominations for Best Picture and Best Actor. It became available on Netflix as part of their November 1st releases.
