Tom Hiddleston will reprise his role as Jonathan Pine for the second season of The Night Manager, and a short preview has just been released by the BBC and Amazon.
After eight years, a new season of the award-winning series is finally here, offering fans a continuation of the story. The first trailer was released on BBC immediately before the finale of the popular show, The Celebrity Traitors, which has been watched by over 13.2 million people in the UK.
Okay, so in this new season, Pine’s gone totally under the radar – he’s living as Alex Goodwin, this pretty unassuming MI6 guy running a low-key surveillance team in London. Everything’s surprisingly peaceful until he spots one of Roper’s old crew, and suddenly, he’s pulled right back into all that dangerous stuff. It’s a classic ‘quiet life interrupted’ setup, and I’m already hooked!
The story takes him to Colombia, where he meets Teddy Dos Santos, a wealthy and influential businessman played by Diego Calva. He partners with Roxana Bolaños, played by Camila Morrone, to secretly investigate Teddy’s illegal arms dealing. As the investigation unfolds, he uncovers a larger plot involving the training of rebel soldiers and a scheme to create chaos in the country.
The first sneak peek at Season 2 of ‘The Night Manager’ is arriving soon! You’ll be able to watch it on BBC iPlayer in the UK and on Prime Video in other regions.

Olivia Colman is back as Angela Burr, alongside returning cast members Alistair Petrie, Douglas Hodge, Michael Nardone, and Noah Jupe. The series also welcomes Indira Varma, Paul Chahidi, and Hayley Squires to the cast. However, Hugh Laurie, Tom Hollander, and Elizabeth Debicki, all of whom were in the first season, won’t be appearing this time around.
David Farr created and leads the series, which is inspired by characters from the works of John le Carré, who died in 2020. Georgi Banks-Davies directed the show, and it was produced by The Ink Factory, working with partners Character 7, Demarest Films, 127 Wall, and Nostromo Pictures.
The series features a number of producers, including Stephen Garrett, Stephen and Simon Cornwell, Michele Wolkoff, Tessa Inkelaar, Joe Tsai, Arthur Wang, Adrián Guerra, William D. Johnson, Nick Cornwell, Susanne Bier, Chris Rice, and Gaynor Holmes.
The new trailer hints at a thrilling season full of danger and suspense, with Pine facing both betrayal and challenges to his trust. It suggests the show will be just as captivating as it was in season one.
