The studio has announced that the movie’s release date has been pushed back from early 2026.
The studio announced they’re delaying the release of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra to a date after early 2026 to ensure the game meets their vision for the project.

Skydance Cites Quality and Vision
The studio promised fans a high-quality, memorable game that stays true to the spirit of Marvel’s characters and stories. Skydance, calling the game a large-scale undertaking, explained that the delay will give them more time to refine the game and ensure it lives up to player expectations.

What Is Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra About?
The new action-adventure game takes place during World War II and pairs Captain America (Steve Rogers) with Black Panther’s grandfather, Azzuri (T’Challa’s grandfather). Players will also meet Nanali, a spy from Wakanda, and Gabriel Jones, a member of the Howling Commandos, as they join the adventure.
The cast also features Julie, a member of the French Resistance, and Howard Stark. Drew Moerlein, Khary Payton, Megalyn Echikunwoke, Marque Richardson, Lyne Renée, and Joel Johnstone provide voices for the show.
The story is an original collaboration between Skydance New Media and Marvel Games.
