After an eight-year hiatus from acting, Meghan Markle is making her return to the screen. The 44-year-old Duchess of Sussex was seen filming scenes for the new Amazon MGM Studios comedy, Close Personal Friends, in Pasadena, California on November 5th.

According to a source, Meghan Markle made a brief appearance on set today. They described her as relaxed, happy, and very friendly, noting that she took the time to introduce herself to everyone and was genuinely kind and approachable.
This marks Meghan’s return to acting after leaving the show Suits in 2017 when she became engaged to Prince Harry. According to a source at the studio, “This is a big step for Meghan and means she’s getting back to something she’s passionate about. She’s had many offers, but this project was the perfect fit.”
I’m hearing that Meghan is easing her way back into acting, testing the waters to see if she enjoys being on set again. Apparently, everyone working on the project is thrilled to have her, and they’ve all been asked to keep her involvement under wraps – it’s a closely guarded secret!
Directed by Jason Orley and written by Isaac Aptaker, Close Personal Friends tells the story of a couple’s embarrassing run-in with a famous pair. The cast also includes Melissa Villaseñor, Natasia Demetriou, Anna Konkle, Jack Shalloo, Patti Harrison, and Dustin Demri-Burns.
Filming started on September 30th, taking place in both London and Los Angeles. Prince Harry is reportedly very encouraging of Meghan’s return to acting, with a source saying he ‘simply wants Meghan to do whatever makes her happy.’
