It’s been confirmed that a recent report stating David signed the Film Workers For Palestine pledge was inaccurate.
Someone added his name to our records a few weeks ago, and it appears to be the work of a malicious online user. Although we followed him on social media, we never confirmed that the signature attributed to him was actually his, the organization stated.
It’s not yet known if actress Milly Alcock’s name was also added by online trolls. The initiative, started on September 8, 2025, asks actors, filmmakers, and production teams to boycott festivals and companies in Israel due to their connection to the current conflict.

More than 5,000 Hollywood professionals, including prominent actors like Olivia Colman, Emma Stone, Mark Ruffalo, Tilda Swinton, Riz Ahmed, Javier Bardem, and Cynthia Nixon, have signed a commitment to advocate for peace and human rights through their work.
The new commitment has caused discussion within the art world. Some artists have decided against signing it, feeling the topic is too complex or preferring to stay out of the debate.
