This week, we’ve got the details on all the new sci-fi movies and shows coming to theaters and streaming services. You’ll find information on the cast, main crew, a quick summary of the plot, and exactly where and when you can watch them.
‘Predator: Badlands’ (2025)

I’m really excited about ‘Predator: Badlands’! It’s the newest installment in the ‘Predator’ series, directed by Dan Trachtenberg, and it introduces a fresh story with Elle Fanning and Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi leading the way. Patrick Aison and Brian Duffield wrote the script, and it’s produced by John Davis and Dan Trachtenberg himself, with beautiful cinematography from Jeff Cutter. I was lucky enough to see it premiere in Hollywood on November 3rd, and now everyone can check it out in theaters starting November 7th! It’s about a dangerous hunt in a wild, unforgiving place, and it really adds to what we already know about the Predators – it expands their story in a really cool way.
‘Pluribus’ (2025)

Vince Gilligan, the creator of shows like ‘Breaking Bad,’ is back with ‘Pluribus,’ a new series starring Rhea Seehorn as Carol Sturka. Karolina Wydra and Carlos Manuel Vesga also feature, with appearances by Miriam Shor and Samba Schutte. The first two episodes will premiere on Apple TV+ on November 7th, with new episodes released weekly. Gilligan reunites with several of his trusted colleagues as executive producers. The show follows what the creator calls ‘the most miserable person on Earth,’ who unexpectedly finds themself at the center of a global issue involving a strangely contagious form of happiness.
‘Frankenstein’ (2025)

Guillermo del Toro’s new Netflix film, ‘Frankenstein,’ reimagines Mary Shelley’s classic story. Oscar Isaac plays Victor Frankenstein, and Jacob Elordi stars as the Creature. The film also features Mia Goth and Christoph Waltz. With cinematography by Dan Laustsen, editing by Evan Schiff, and a score by Alexandre Desplat, the production comes from Double Dare You and partners. ‘Frankenstein’ will be available to stream on November 7th. The story follows the disastrous consequences when a scientist brings a being to life, leading to a conflict between creator and creation.
‘Wormtown’ (2025)

Sergio Pinheiro directed ‘Wormtown,’ a new film written by Andrew James Myers. The movie stars Caitlin McWethy, Rachel Ryu, Emily Soppe, Maggie Lou Rader, and Madison Murrah. It’s about a small town thrown into chaos when a cult obsessed with mind-controlling parasites attacks its residents. Philip R. Garrett produced the film, which will be available to stream starting November 7th.
‘Inertia’ (2025)

‘Inertia,’ a new film directed and co-written by Will Martinko (with Tony McCall), stars John Brocagh Lynn, Reese Grove, Jelena Uchev, and Aidan Everly. Breaking Glass Pictures is distributing the film, which began streaming on November 4th. The story centers on Roman, a teen who discovers he can manipulate time and space, and must grapple with the origins of his powers as a looming threat approaches. Sarah Bauer, Katie Harkins, Gaspare Interrante, and Matthew Santangelo produced the film.
