This week offers a diverse range of shows, from intense courtroom dramas and compelling family stories to beloved anime and thrilling mysteries. You’ll find both brand new series and familiar favorites, including a highly anticipated legal drama that everyone’s been talking about. Here’s a brief guide to help you get acquainted with each show before you start watching.
‘All’s Fair’ (2025– )

Ryan Murphy’s new legal drama centers on a top divorce law firm in Los Angeles, featuring a cast including Glenn Close, Naomi Watts, Kim Kardashian, Niecy Nash-Betts, Sarah Paulson, and Teyana Taylor. Created by Murphy, Jon Robin Baitz, and Joe Baken, the show explores intense divorce cases, often involving famous people, and the competitive relationships within the firm. A key rivalry develops between Kim Kardashian’s character and Sarah Paulson’s. Each episode features a new case, alongside ongoing personal stories and the development of mentorships among the lawyers.
‘The Manipulated’ (2025– )

I just finished watching this fantastic Korean thriller, and wow, it really grabbed me. It’s about an ordinary guy who suddenly finds himself accused of a terrible crime and has to fight tooth and nail to prove his innocence – all while powerful, shadowy figures are working against him. The cast is phenomenal, led by Ji Chang-wook and Do Kyung-soo (D.O.), with great support from Lee Kwang-soo and Jo Yoon-soo. Kim Chang-Ju directs with a steady hand, and the script by Oh Sang-ho is sharp and compelling. Spread over twelve episodes, it’s clearly inspired by a 2017 film, but expands on that foundation with a complex web of conspiracy, systemic corruption, and a seriously tense game of cat and mouse. This isn’t just a thriller; it’s a really well-made, character-focused drama that unfolds against the backdrop of Seoul’s power structures, and I highly recommend it.
‘The Toys That Built America’ (2021– )

This History Channel docudrama tells the story of how classic toys and games – from brands like Parker Brothers, Milton Bradley, and Mattel – became popular. It uses reenactments and interviews with experts to explore the competition, creative ideas, and risks that built the multi-billion dollar toy industry. The series also shows how changes in the 20th century influenced these toys and games. Jim Pasquarella and other producers have overseen the show as part of History’s documentary programming.
‘The Food That Built America’ (2019– )

This documentary series explores the fascinating history of America’s biggest food companies. It shows how these empires were built – often through competition, clever advertising, and new recipes – using a mix of historical reenactments, interviews with experts, and insights from people in the food industry. Narrated by Campbell Scott and featuring segments with Adam Richman, the series, produced by Lucky 8, examines the origins of popular brands, the risks they took, and the innovations that transformed American eating habits. It’s a compelling combination of business, biography, and food culture.
‘One Piece’ (1999– )

This popular anime, based on Eiichiro Oda’s manga, tells the story of Monkey D. Luffy and his crew, the Straw Hat Pirates, as they search the world for the legendary treasure known as ‘One Piece.’ The Japanese voice actors include Mayumi Tanaka as Luffy, Kazuya Nakai as Zoro, and Akemi Okamura as Nami. The show is famous for its detailed world, unique powers gained from ‘devil fruits,’ and long, epic storylines. It first aired on Fuji TV and has now released over 1,000 episodes, continuing to build on Oda’s original vision.
‘Sister Wives’ (2010– )

TLC’s reality show follows Kody Brown and his family as they navigate changing relationships, move locations, and experience evolving family dynamics. Over many seasons, created by Tim Gibbons and Christopher Poole, the show has captured significant changes within the family. Viewers are familiar with Meri, Janelle, Christine, and Robyn, and their individual and shared journeys have been central to the show’s most important storylines. The series combines everyday life, personal beliefs, and the family’s ongoing transformation into a continuous story.
‘The Baldwins’ (2025– )

This reality show offers a personal look into the lives of Alec and Hilaria Baldwin as they navigate the joys and challenges of raising their seven children. It blends the everyday chaos of family life with the public scrutiny they face, and subtly touches on the aftermath of the ‘Rust’ tragedy. The series, executive produced by Alec and Hilaria Baldwin and Tom Forman, and produced by Terminal B Television, offers a candid and humorous glimpse into their home life.
‘Paranormal Lockdown’ (2016–2019)

In the series, paranormal experts Nick Groff and Katrina Weidman lock themselves in well-known haunted locations for three full days to collect evidence of the supernatural. Narrated by James Lurie, the show also explains the methods and equipment they use. The team has investigated a variety of spooky places across the U.S., from asylums and prisons to historic mansions, and sometimes revisit locations after discovering something particularly intriguing. The series was created by Groff Entertainment and originally appeared on TLC and Destination America.
‘Born Evil: The Serial Killer and the Savior’ (2024)

This docuseries, executive produced by Michael Bay, dives into the story of convicted killer Hadden Clark. It looks at his past, his own admissions, and potential connections to unsolved crimes. The show features interviews, old footage, and the story of Jack Truitt, Clark’s former cellmate, whose information led to new investigative paths. Originally airing on Investigation Discovery, it’s now also available on Max. The series takes a detailed, evidence-based approach, examining both the Clark family and the detectives working on the case.
