‘Death by Lightning’ (2025)

I’m really excited about ‘Death by Lightning’! It tells the incredible, and tragic, story of President James A. Garfield and the man who killed him, Charles Guiteau. Mike Makowsky created this limited series, and Matt Ross directed it – it’s got an amazing cast including Michael Shannon and Matthew Macfadyen, plus Nick Offerman and a lot of other fantastic actors. The team behind it – Makowsky, Ross, David Benioff, and D.B. Weiss – have really brought Candice Millard’s book to life.
