Players trying to team up in Arc Raiders across different platforms are currently experiencing issues. A recent update has left Xbox players unable to connect and play with those on PC or PlayStation 5.

If you’re getting an “outdated game client” error, updating the game usually fixes it, but an update needs to be available first. Right now, Xbox players don’t have an update, while PlayStation 5 and PC players do. This means players on those different systems can’t play together at the moment.
Okay, so it looks like we might run into a problem down the line, and honestly, right now the only thing we can do is wait for the team at Embark to release a fix. They’re working on a patch, but getting it approved and available for download can take a bit, which is frustrating for us fans and the developers too, I’m sure!
Arc Raiders hot fix causes animation errors
Thanks for letting us know about the animation problems caused by the recent hotfix! We’ve reverted some changes, and we’re working on another quick update to fix things. Please keep an eye out for it!

This update caused problems for players on both Xbox and PlayStation. Xbox users lost the ability to play with people on other platforms, while PlayStation 5 users experienced various animation glitches, including characters standing in a ‘T-pose’ instead of crouching properly.
It’s a little strange and honestly quite a mess, but the team at Embark knows about the problems and has already released a second update today (October 31, 2025) to fix them. Hopefully, this also restores crossplay functionality on Xbox consoles.
