
IT: Welcome To Derry fans get a treat this Halloween.
Early Release Details
The second episode of the horror prequel will be available on HBO Max starting Friday, October 31st, at midnight Pacific Time / 3 AM Eastern Time.
HBO will also air the episode on Sunday, November 2 at 9:00pm ET/PT.
The season has eight episodes and continues to air on Sundays on both HBO and HBO Max, with the last episode premiering on December 14th. New episodes will be shown every Sunday night on HBO.
Strong Premiere Numbers On HBO & HBO Max
IT: Welcome To Derry is also off to a strong start on HBO Max.
The first episode of the series attracted 5.7 million viewers in the U.S. over its first three days on HBO and HBO Max. According to Warner Bros. Discovery, it’s one of the top three most-watched premieres in HBO Max history, behind only House of the Dragon and The Last of Us. The series premiered on October 26th, and viewership increased as the Halloween weekend approached.

Series Background
Welcome to Derry expands on Stephen King’s novel and continues the story begun in the films IT and IT Chapter Two. Created for television by Andy Muschietti, Barbara Muschietti, and Jason Fuchs, with Andy Muschietti also directing several episodes, the series maintains the same atmosphere and lore as the films, bringing the terrifying legacy of Pennywise back to audiences.

The film stars Jovan Adepo, Taylour Paige, Chris Chalk, James Remar, Stephen Rider, Blake Cameron James, Arian S. Cartaya, Amanda Christine, Matilda Lawler, Clara Stack, Madeleine Stowe, Rudy Mancuso, and Bill Skarsgård, who reprises his role as Pennywise.
