MGM+ calls the series a grand, romantic story – a fresh look at the classic tale of Robin Hood and Marian, emphasizing historical accuracy, realistic characters, and the complex connection between Rob and Marian.

The story takes place after the Normans invaded England. Rob, a Saxon forester’s son played by Jack Patten, and Marian, the daughter of a Norman lord played by Lauren McQueen, fall in love and team up to fight for what’s right. Rob commands a band of rebel outlaws, and Marian goes undercover in the royal court, working to expose corruption and bring peace to the kingdom.

Sean Bean will play the Sheriff of Nottingham in the new film, joining Lydia Peckham as Priscilla of Nottingham, Steven Waddington as the Earl of Huntingdon, and Connie Nielsen as Queen Eleanor of Aquitaine. John Glenn is the executive producer, and Jonathan English and Todd Lieberman from Hidden Pictures are also producing.
