I have to say, Sydney Sweeney absolutely stunned at Variety’s “Power of Women” event last night. She wore this incredible, sheer silver dress that really made a statement on the red carpet – it was hard to look away!
She kept her look understated with simple jewelry and natural makeup. Her blonde hair was cut into a stylish bob, parted to the side.
On October 25th, at the AFI Fest premiere of her film Christy, Sweeney debuted a new haircut.

She showed up to the event with beautifully curled, platinum blonde hair parted down the middle, and a soft pink Miu Miu halter dress. Her hair stylist, Jacob Schwartz, shared with Vogue that she was ready for a fresh look. He explained that she wanted a striking hairstyle for the red carpet to celebrate her new film, Christy, and it felt like the right moment to try something daring.
Sydney Sweeney’s hairstylist, Glen Coco, also noted her recent change in appearance. He explained that she underwent a significant transformation for her role as boxer Christy Martin in an upcoming movie. Coco’s goal was to give her a modern and revitalized look for both the role and her personal life as the year came to a close.
To prepare for her role as Christy Martin, Sweeney intentionally gained 30 pounds. She told Vanity Fair that her body underwent a dramatic transformation during filming. She explained that she went from fitting into a size 23 in jeans to needing a size 27, and experienced significant changes in her bust and backside. She described the experience as “amazing,” noting she felt incredibly strong.
While promoting her new film, Sweeney is confidently pushing back against how she’s often perceived. In an interview with Variety, she explained that she often plays complex characters, leading people to think they have her figured out. She clarified that when others label her as a ‘sex symbol’ or assume she’s playing into that image, she’s simply feeling good and empowered, and making choices for herself.
She shared, “I want to encourage other women to embrace their confidence and feel proud of who they are, without ever feeling the need to apologize for their appearance or hide themselves.”
