In The Outer Worlds 2, the quest “On the Trail of a Traitor” takes you to the Order’s Alexandra Monastery, an impressive building filled with hidden secrets. At the top, you’ll find an observatory displaying various models of your solar system. Nearby, a terminal presents a puzzle – a scavenger hunt that challenges you to understand how the solar system functions.
We’ll walk you through this puzzle, show you how to solve it, and reveal the answer so you can claim your rewards.
Order Monastery Scavenger Hunt solution

The program will prompt you to enter three numbers – each one is the answer to a riddle about our solar system.
- The number of moons that orbit Elysium
- The number of moons that orbit between Dorado and Elysium
- The number of times Eden orbits Elysium before Praetor and Cloyster complete a single rotation.
The observatory’s information panels will help you identify each planet. However, to understand how the model works and how everything orbits, go back to the courtyard. You’ll find a large-scale model of the system above the gazebo.
By inspecting this model you can figure out the following answers:
- Four moons orbit Elysium
- One moon orbits between Dorado and Elysium
- Four is the number of times Eden orbits Elysium in a rotation of Praetor and Cloyster.
This means the code to input is 4-1-4.
