Do you remember choosing a destination after leaving Penacony in Honkai: Star Rail? While it seemed like a choice, the story always led to Amphoreus. We followed Black Swan’s advice, but many players were upset with the Memokeeper after learning that followers of the Remembrance were connected to all the recent troubles.
We really need to apologize to Black Swan. The newest trailer for HSR Myriad Celestia, ‘Exotale: Scene 8’, showed that any other outcome would have been significantly worse – seriously, much worse.
Kafka explains to Silver Wolf the various possible futures Elio sees for each stop on the Astral Express. This conversation subtly suggests the Stellaron Hunters’ cat might actually be Elio himself, or a form he uses – the cat seems to be the one predicting the future, and its eye color changes when it does so.
Option #1: Lushaka
Okay, so the Express crew is having this crazy adventure at sea, which is awesome! But while they’re off doing that, Herta figures out what’s going on with Amphoreus and decides to handle it herself. Huge mistake! She gets sucked into Irontomb, turns into Rubert III, and… well, basically destroys everything. It’s a total disaster!
Option #2: Melustanin
As the Express investigates the aftermath of the Stellaron Disaster on Melustanin, the people of Xianzhou decide to help Jingliu destroy an Aeon. They use what’s left of The Propagation to target Yaoshi, but the plan goes horribly wrong. Instead of succeeding, the Xianzhou become corrupted by The Propagation, transforming into a new Swarm Disaster. This leads to war, with Jingliu rising to become a new Lord Ravager.
Option #3: Patrevia
Patrevia forces the Express to face Zephyro, the most dangerous of the Lord Ravagers. According to Kafka, the worst possible outcome would be a battle between Welt and Zephyro that destroys the entire universe, resulting in the death of everyone.
Believe it or not, the Black Swan’s plan – leading us to Amphoreus and through a whole lot of trouble, including a galactic war – is actually the most hopeful outcome. Thanks to the Black Swan, that is.
Elio suggests Amphoreus’s story will likely have a sad ending, which is typical for Honkai: Star Rail. However, because of The Trailblaze, anything is possible.
The next update for Honkai: Star Rail (version 3.7) arrives next week on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. It features the conclusion of the Amphoreus story arc in the Currency Wars game mode, and new characters will be available on the banners, including Cyrene.
