Peter Howitt’s romantic drama, set in London, tells the story of Helen Quilley and how a single moment – missing or catching a train – dramatically alters her life. The film jumps between two different timelines, exploring themes of fate, luck, and the possibility of new beginnings. Starring Gwyneth Paltrow and John Hannah, with supporting roles from Jeanne Tripplehorn and John Lynch, it will be released on October 27th.
‘Babo – Die Haftbefehl-Story’ (2025)

Produced by Elyas M’Barek and directed by Juan Moreno (with Sinan Sevinç credited as a co-director in some reports), the film features appearances from other artists in the German hip-hop world and explores his early life in Offenbach leading up to his nationwide fame. It will be released on October 28th.
‘Ballad of a Small Player’ (2025)

Starring Colin Farrell, with potential appearances by Tilda Swinton and others, the film features a screenplay by Rowan Joffé. Berger worked with the same talented team that helped him achieve previous success, creating a stylish and intimate look at its central character. It will be released on October 29th.
‘The White House Effect’ (2024)

This documentary uses only existing news and archival footage to look back at the presidency of George H.W. Bush and a key time when the U.S. could have approached climate change differently. The film explores the discussions happening within the administration and the factors that influenced how the world began to address global warming. The filmmakers call it the story of how the climate crisis became a major topic of conversation, and it will be released on October 31st.
‘Don’t Worry Darling’ (2022)

Directed by Olivia Wilde, this thrilling mystery takes place in a seemingly perfect 1950s town. A housewife starts to believe her community – and her husband’s company – are hiding something sinister. The film stars Florence Pugh, with Harry Styles, Chris Pine, and Gemma Chan among the supporting cast. It’s based on a story by Carey and Shane Van Dyke, with a screenplay by Katie Silberman, and features cinematography by Matthew Libatique and a score by John Powell. It will be released on November 1st.

In director Todd Strauss-Schulson’s new romantic comedy, Rebel Wilson plays a New Yorker who suddenly finds herself living inside a classic, over-the-top rom-com. ‘Ocean’s Eight’ (2018)

Directed by Gary Ross, who also co-wrote the script, this new film is a thrilling heist story set in the world of the ‘Ocean’s’ franchise. It follows Debbie Ocean as she gathers a talented team—including Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, and Rihanna—to steal valuable jewels at the Met Gala. Olivia Milch co-wrote the screenplay, and Daniel Pemberton created the music. The film will be released on November 1st.
‘The Little Things’ (2021)

John Lee Hancock’s new crime thriller is a neo-noir story set in Los Angeles in the early 1990s. It follows two detectives, played by Denzel Washington and Rami Malek, as they hunt a serial killer, all while grappling with their own personal issues. Jared Leto plays a suspect who proves particularly unsettling. Interestingly, the film’s script was actually written in the 1990s but wasn’t made until now. It will be released on November 1st.
‘Elvis’ (2022)

Baz Luhrmann’s new movie tells the story of Elvis Presley’s life and rise to fame, focusing on his complicated relationship with his manager, Colonel Tom Parker. Austin Butler stars as Elvis, and Tom Hanks plays Parker. The film was written by Luhrmann, along with Sam Bromell, Craig Pearce, and Jeremy Doner. Mandy Walker handled the cinematography, and Elliott Wheeler composed the music. It will be released on November 1st.

It will be released on November 1st.
‘Doctor Sleep’ (2019)

The Newton Brothers composed the music, and Michael Fimognari handled the cinematography. The movie blends elements of King’s sequel with references to the original 1980 film. It will be released on November 1st.
‘Dear Santa’ (2024)

Directed by Bobby Farrelly, this funny and fantastical holiday movie tells the story of a boy whose wish goes hilariously wrong when he accidentally summons Satan instead of Santa. Starring Jack Black, along with Keegan-Michael Key, Robert Timothy Smith, Brianne Howey, and a special appearance by Post Malone, the film is based on a script by Ricky Blitt and Peter Farrelly. Filmed in Georgia with music by Rupert Gregson-Williams and cinematography by C. Kim Miles, it will be released on November 1st.
‘Paddington 2’ (2017)

Okay, so I just saw the new Paddington movie, and it’s absolutely delightful! It picks up right where the first one left off, with Paddington, voiced perfectly by Ben Whishaw, getting caught up in a bit of a mess – he’s wrongly accused of stealing something! The whole Brown family, played by Hugh Bonneville, Sally Hawkins, and the rest, are back to help him, and the cast is rounded out by some incredible names like Brendan Gleeson, Julie Walters, and Jim Broadbent. But the real scene-stealer might be Hugh Grant as the villain – he’s hilariously over-the-top. Director Paul King, who co-wrote the script with Simon Farnaby, really captures the charm of Michael Bond’s original character. Honestly, it’s a heartwarming and funny film for the whole family, and it hits theaters November 1st – definitely check it out!
‘Game Night’ (2018)

In the new film from directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein, a casual get-together takes a dangerous turn when a fake kidnapping unexpectedly becomes real. Starring Jason Bateman and Rachel McAdams, with supporting performances by Kyle Chandler, Jesse Plemons, Sharon Horgan, Lamorne Morris, and Billy Magnussen, the movie—written by Mark Perez—combines a complex, surprising plot with a driving score by Cliff Martinez. It will be released on November 1st.
‘Risen’ (2016)

As a movie buff, I’m really intrigued by this new film! It’s a biblical drama directed by Kevin Reynolds, and it follows a Roman officer, Clavius, played by Joseph Fiennes, as he tries to figure out what happened to Jesus’s body after the crucifixion. It’s not your typical retelling of the story, though – it’s presented as a detective-style mystery set way back in 33 AD Judea. The cast also includes Tom Felton and Peter Firth, and it hits theaters on November 1st. I’m curious to see how they approach this familiar story from a fresh angle.

This movie kicks off a new holiday series focused on the Liddle family and will be available starting November 1st.
‘No Good Deed’ (2014)

I just saw Sam Miller’s new thriller, and it’s a real nail-biter. It centers around a woman and her kids who find their home invaded on a stormy night by a surprisingly charming, but dangerous, escaped convict. Idris Elba is fantastic as the convict, and Taraji P. Henson delivers a powerful performance as the mother protecting her children. The script, by Aimée Lagos, keeps you on the edge of your seat, and Paul Haslinger’s score really amps up the tension. Produced by Will Packer, this one clearly resonated with audiences – it was a box office success! You can check it out starting November 1st.
‘Grimsby’ (2016)

Directed by Louis Leterrier, this hilarious action-comedy – known as ‘Grimsby’ in some places – follows a boisterous football fan who discovers his estranged brother is a secret MI6 agent. Together, they must stop a dangerous worldwide scheme. The film stars Sacha Baron Cohen and Mark Strong, with supporting roles played by Rebel Wilson, Isla Fisher, and Penélope Cruz. Cohen, Phil Johnston, and Peter Baynham wrote the script, which takes viewers from England to various international locations, filled with over-the-top humor and spoofs of classic spy movies. It will be released on November 1st.
‘Just Mercy’ (2019)

I recently saw Destin Daniel Cretton’s new film, and it’s a powerful courtroom drama based on the incredible true story of Bryan Stevenson, a lawyer who dedicated his life to defending those wrongly convicted and facing the death penalty in Alabama. Michael B. Jordan delivers a compelling performance as Stevenson, and he’s supported by a fantastic cast including Jamie Foxx, who is truly moving, and Brie Larson. The movie details the very beginnings of Stevenson’s Equal Justice Initiative and focuses on one particularly impactful case that really shines a light on how deeply flawed the justice system can be. It’s a film that stays with you, and it’s hitting theaters on November 1st.
‘Heaven Is for Real’ (2014)

Directed and co-written by Randall Wallace, this movie is based on the true story told in the book by Todd Burpo and Lynn Vincent about a boy’s experience near death. Starring Greg Kinnear, Kelly Reilly, Margo Martindale, and Thomas Haden Church, the film follows a family in a small town as they grapple with their beliefs and how others react. Screen Gems and TriStar Pictures produced the film, which will be released on November 1st.
‘Doctor Dolittle’ (1998)

The script was written by Larry Levin and Nat Mauldin, and the film also features performances by Ossie Davis and Oliver Platt, alongside voice cameos from many well-known comedians. This family-friendly comedy kicked off a new series of ‘Dolittle’ movies and will be available starting November 1st.

This comedy, directed by Ben Falcone and co-written with Melissa McCarthy, tells the story of a mom who goes back to college after her divorce. She ends up befriending her daughter’s friends while working towards her degree. Melissa McCarthy leads the cast, alongside Molly Gordon, Gillian Jacobs, Maya Rudolph, Julie Bowen, and Stephen Root. Fil Eisler composed the music, and Julio Macat handled the cinematography. The movie will be released on November 1st.
‘The Nun II’ (2023)

Directed by Michael Chaves, the latest installment in ‘The Conjuring’ Universe follows Sister Irene as she investigates a growing evil and faces returning threats. Taissa Farmiga, Jonas Bloquet, and Bonnie Aarons return to their roles, alongside newcomers Storm Reid and Anna Popplewell. The script is by Ian Goldberg, Richard Naing, and Akela Cooper, based on a story by Cooper, with Tristan Nyby as the cinematographer and Marco Beltrami composing the music. The film will be released on November 1st.
‘Tenet’ (2020)

As a huge film fan, I’m really excited about Christopher Nolan’s latest. It’s a mind-bending spy thriller where the hero, played by John David Washington, has to manipulate time – they call it ‘inversion’ – to save the world. The cast is incredible, with Robert Pattinson, Elizabeth Debicki, Dimple Kapadia, Kenneth Branagh, and even Michael Caine! Nolan really went all out with this one, using huge practical effects and incredibly complex time-based ideas. I’ve marked November 1st on my calendar – that’s when it hits theaters, and I can’t wait!
‘The Way Back’ (2020)

Directed by Gavin O’Connor, this new sports drama tells the story of a once-promising basketball player battling alcoholism who gets a chance to coach at his old high school. It will be released on November 1st.
‘Moonage Daydream’ (2022)

Brett Morgen’s new documentary about David Bowie uses never-before-seen footage, concert clips, and captivating sound to tell the story of the iconic artist’s life and career. Morgen handled all aspects of the film – writing, directing, producing, and editing – and Tony Visconti, a frequent Bowie collaborator, oversaw the music. The documentary first premiered at the Cannes Film Festival and will be released in theaters and IMAX on November 1st.
‘The Outfit’ (2022)

Director Graham Moore’s first feature film is a gripping crime thriller set in 1950s Chicago. It follows a skilled tailor who gets caught up in a dangerous gang war. The film stars Mark Rylance, alongside Zoey Deutch, Johnny Flynn, Dylan O’Brien, Nikki Amuka-Bird, and Simon Russell Beale. Moore co-wrote the script with Johnathan McClain, and the music is by Alexandre Desplat. Beautifully filmed by Dick Pope, most of the story takes place inside a single shop over the course of one intense night. It will be released on November 2nd.
