This week on Peacock, you’ll find a great mix of new movies just out of theaters, beloved animated films, and scary favorites perfect for the spooky season. No matter what you’re looking for – dragons, fun holiday stories, or a thrilling night in – there’s something for everyone to enjoy.
10. ‘M3GAN 2.0’ (2025)

The new movie continues the story of the AI doll from the first film, brought to you by Blumhouse and Atomic Monster. The director and writer return, along with some of the original actors. This time, the thrills are bigger and the robotic technology is even more advanced. After playing in theaters, the film became available to stream on Peacock, with both the theatrical and an extended, unrated version. It’s quickly become one of the most talked-about horror movies on the platform.
9. ‘Scary Movie’ (2000)

Keenen Ivory Wayans’ film is a funny spoof of popular late-90s horror movies like ‘Scream’ and ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’. Featuring the Wayans family and plenty of jokes about horror movie clichés – like masked killers and typical high school stories – it was a huge hit when it came out, topping the box office charts and becoming one of the most successful R-rated comedies of its era. It also launched a series of follow-up spoof films.
8. ‘Scream’ (1996)

Directed by Wes Craven and written by Kevin Williamson, Scream is a clever horror film about a high school student named Sidney Prescott whose town is plagued by a masked killer known as Ghostface. The film stars Neve Campbell, Courteney Cox, David Arquette, and Drew Barrymore. Set in Woodsboro, Scream combines the mystery of a ‘whodunit’ with suspenseful phone calls and self-aware references to horror movie tropes. It was a huge success, launching a popular franchise and establishing Ghostface as a lasting figure in horror.
7. ‘Honey Don’t!’ (2025)

I just finished watching this really quirky and dark comedy-mystery, and I have to tell you, it’s a fun ride! It’s set in Bakersfield and follows Honey O’Donahue, a private investigator who gets tangled up in a case involving some seriously strange deaths and a secretive church. You can find it streaming on Peacock. It starts as a small-town mystery, but quickly gets this unsettling cult vibe, and Honey’s investigation takes some really unexpected turns as things get more dangerous. Definitely check it out if you’re looking for something different on Peacock’s movie list!
6. ‘How to Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World’ (2019)

The final movie in the trilogy sees Hiccup searching for a hidden paradise for dragons, all while a dangerous hunter pursues Toothless and the Light Fury. Written and directed by Dean DeBlois, and featuring the original voice actors, the film—produced by DreamWorks and Universal—brings the story of humans and dragons to a satisfying conclusion. It expands the world with bigger action and new dragon species, focusing on the idea of a safe haven, and proved to be a commercial success worldwide.
5. ‘Monster House’ (2006)

Director Gil Kenan’s first film uses a special animation technique to tell the story of children who realize their neighbor’s house is actually alive. The script, by Dan Harmon, Rob Schrab, and Pamela Pettler, draws on local legends and the atmosphere of Halloween. Made with support from producers connected to Amblin Entertainment, the movie focuses on a spooky and adventurous feel. The idea of a house itself being the monster made this film stand out in the world of family-friendly horror.
4. ‘Corpse Bride’ (2005)

Tim Burton and Mike Johnson directed this animated film, Corpse Bride, which tells the story of Victor, a shy man who mistakenly proposes to a deceased woman named Emily. Johnny Depp and Helena Bonham Carter provide the voices, and Danny Elfman composed the music. The film is beautifully made using detailed stop-motion animation, combining dark, gothic imagery with a spooky love story. It’s considered one of the best stop-motion films made recently.
3. ‘How to Train Your Dragon 2’ (2014)

This sequel to the first film picks up several years later, taking Hiccup and Toothless on an adventure beyond their home of Berk. They stumble upon a hidden ice cave teeming with untamed dragons and encounter both new friends and enemies. Dean DeBlois once again wrote and directed, and the voice cast includes Jay Baruchel, America Ferrera, and Gerard Butler. The movie expands the world of the franchise and introduces important characters like Valka and the villainous Drago. Distributed by 20th Century Fox for DreamWorks, it became one of the studio’s most successful animated films.
2. ‘The Grinch’ (2018)

I absolutely love the Illumination version of The Grinch! Benedict Cumberbatch is perfect as the Grinch’s voice, and Pharrell Williams’ narration adds so much to the story. It’s the classic tale we all know – the Grinch trying to ruin Christmas in Whoville with his dog, Max – but it’s brought to life with really bright and fun animation. It’s become a holiday tradition for my family, and we watch it every year on streaming – it’s just a really heartwarming and funny movie!
1. ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ (2025)

This new movie brings the beloved story of Hiccup and Toothless to life with real actors and incredibly realistic dragons. Dean DeBlois, the director of the original animated films, is back to tell the story again, this time based more closely on Cressida Cowell’s books. Produced by Universal and DreamWorks, the film retells the familiar story while offering a bigger, live-action look at the Viking world. After playing in theaters, it will be available to stream on Peacock.
