WICKED Cast Set to Dazzle in One Wonderful Night Musical Special

While people might not grieve for villains, many have missed the musical Wicked this past year. Fortunately, the wait is almost over with the upcoming sequel, Wicked: For Good. To tide fans over, NBC has shared a sneak peek at Wicked: One Wonderful Night, a musical special airing November 6th—just two weeks before the new movie arrives.

The Dolby Theater in Los Angeles will be magically transformed into the Emerald City for a stunning two-hour performance. Talented stars Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande will lead the show, singing and dancing for a live audience. They’ll be joined by their co-stars Michelle Yeoh, Jeff Goldblum, Ethan Slater, Bowen Yang, and Marissa Bod, as well as director John M. Chu and the renowned composer and lyricist Stephen Schwartz.

NBC reports that the show will feature fresh takes on the music, interviews with the cast, glimpses behind the scenes, and exclusive surprises. Viewers might also get a preview of what’s next for the Oz story, plus a few unexpected guest stars.

The special was filmed at the Dolby Theater and features a fantastic 37-piece live orchestra, led by Tony Award winner Stephen Oremus. With incredible choreography and performances from original cast members, Wicked fans are in for something special! Wicked: One Wonderful Night will air live on NBC November 6th from 8-10 PM ET, and will be available to stream on Peacock starting the next day.
