Snyder shared the photo on Instagram, explaining he took it with his Leica monochrome camera and a special 50mm lens created by @zerooptik. He also thanked Joe Manganiello for perfectly portraying the character Deathstroke.

This post comes after Zack Snyder recently honored Henry Cavill’s portrayal of Superman, further sparking rumors among fans that Snyder might be returning to work on DC projects.

Deathstroke’s Lost Future In The DCEU

Joe Manganiello was initially cast as Deathstroke, the main villain, for a Batman movie directed by Ben Affleck. However, the film was later changed into a separate Batman story directed by Matt Reeves and starring Robert Pattinson.

Zack Snyder first showed Deathstroke at the end of the *Justice League* movie, hinting that he would team up with Lex Luthor (played by Jesse Eisenberg) to fight Batman. However, when DC’s management changed, plans for Joe Manganiello to reprise the role in future films were cancelled.
