Fans recently saw Sadie Sink on the set of *Spider-Man: Brand New Day*, marking her debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This new film will be the 38th Marvel movie and the fourth *Spider-Man* film since 2021’s *No Way Home*.
Destin Daniel Cretton directed the film, based on a screenplay by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers. Tom Holland is back as Peter Parker, and the movie stars Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Mark Ruffalo, Michael Mando, Tramell Tillman, Marvin Jones III, and Sadie Sink. While details about Sadie Sink’s role are still a secret, fans are eagerly anticipating what her character will be like.

Filming began on August 3, 2025, in Glasgow, Scotland, initially under the name *Blue Oasis*. Brett Pawlak is the cinematographer, and he’s worked with the director before. The fight scenes are being choreographed by the Jackie Chan Stunt Team, who are famous for their work on *Shang-Chi*. Production was carefully planned to fit around Tom Holland’s other commitments, including filming for *The Odyssey*.
The streets of Glasgow, including areas like Merchant City and George Square, were made to look like New York City for filming. Director Jon Watts said shooting on location felt similar to making the movie *Homecoming*, unlike *No Way Home*, which was largely filmed indoors because of COVID-19 restrictions. He was also happy fans got to see the beginning of the shoot with the actors.
Details from the set have revealed some exciting possibilities for the upcoming film. Photos showed vehicles marked with a red demon symbol, leading film journalist Bradley Russell to speculate that the villain Mister Negative could be featured. Additionally, a prop shaped like a rhinoceros was seen, suggesting that the character Rhino might also appear, as reported by Paul Trainer of Glasgow World.
The movie continued filming at various locations, including Brookwood Cemetery in Surrey and Pinewood Studios in Buckinghamshire. In September, Tom Holland briefly suffered a concussion during a stunt, which paused production until he recovered on September 29th. However, this wasn’t expected to delay the film’s release. Around the same time, Marvin Jones III was cast as Lonnie Lincoln, the character Tombstone. Filming also occurred in Basingstoke, England, with Tom Holland and Michael Mando joining the production later on.
Even though we don’t yet know what Sadie Sink’s role will be, fans are already thrilled she’s joining the cast. With both familiar actors and new additions, the next Spider-Man movie promises a blend of the action we love and some exciting new stories.
