Sabrina Carpenter is using her successful Short n’ Sweet tour to support the Transgender Law Center (TLC). Through her official fund, she’ll be donating to TLC for the remainder of her tour, which has included sold-out concerts across the US.
The Transgender Law Center is the biggest national organization led by transgender people, dedicated to safeguarding the rights and well-being of transgender individuals, with a special focus on supporting those who are also Black, Indigenous, people of color, disabled, or living with HIV.
Carpenter’s support will ensure vital programs continue, including the TLC Legal Information Helpdesk, which assists over 2,200 people each year, and leadership training for more than 400 transgender leaders annually. Her funding will also support important projects like the Disability Project, Black Trans Circles, and Positively Trans.
Carpenter explained that with transgender people facing growing difficulties, supporting The Trevor Project is more important than ever. Her support isn’t just about money; it also shows her fans that trans rights and the safety of the trans community matter.
The Sabrina Carpenter Fund is dedicated to supporting various important organizations, such as the LGBT National Help Center, The Jed Foundation, and Best Friends Animal Society. Through this work, Carpenter shows she cares deeply about many social issues, including mental health, LGBTQ+ rights, and helping animals.
