‘KPop Demon Hunters’ Continues Its Amazing Record Run Atop of Netflix’s Most-Watched Movies of the Week List: Here Are the Remaining Top 10 Movies

Want to find something to watch? Here’s a quick and easy guide to the most popular movies people in the US are streaming on Netflix this week, including information about the directors, cast, and storylines.

10. ‘Maze Runner: The Death Cure’ (2018)

In the thrilling final installment, Thomas and his fellow Gladers venture into a dangerous, fortified city on a desperate mission to save a friend and expose WCKD’s ultimate scheme. Directed by Wes Ball and written by T.S. Nowlin, the film stars Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Ki Hong Lee, and Thomas Brodie-Sangster, alongside Patricia Clarkson and Walton Goggins. Production wrapped after a significant delay caused by an on-set injury to Dylan O’Brien, bringing the Gladers’ story to a satisfying conclusion.

9. ‘Casper’ (1995)

Casper, a heartwarming family film directed by Brad Silberling, tells the story of a paranormal therapist, Dr. James Harvey (Bill Pullman), and his daughter, Kat (Christina Ricci), who move into a haunted mansion. They quickly befriend Casper, a kind ghost, and his playful, but troublesome, uncles. The film, produced by Universal and Amblin, was known for its impressive special effects and a sweet story about growing up, and features Cathy Moriarty and Eric Idle as the villains.

8. ‘Caramelo’ (2025)

This heartwarming Brazilian film tells the story of a chef whose life is turned upside down by a serious diagnosis. He finds renewed hope and a new sense of purpose when he adopts Caramelo, a charming dog he meets on the street. Starring Rafael Vitti and featuring the delightful Amendoim as Caramelo, with Arianne Botelho rounding out the cast, the film is a touching blend of heartwarming scenes and gentle comedy as the chef learns to rebuild his life with his new companion.

7. ‘My Father, the BTK Killer’ (2025)

As a true crime buff, I just finished watching this fascinating and incredibly difficult documentary. It centers around Dennis Rader – you probably know him as BTK – but what makes it so unique is that it’s told largely through the eyes of his daughter, Kerri Rawson. The director, Skye Borgman, really lets us see Kerri as she digs through old memories, cooperates with the investigators still working the case, and even considers new clues that might surface about her father’s crimes. It’s a really compelling blend of biographical storytelling and a family trying to come to terms with a truly horrific past.

6. ‘Maze Runner: The Scorch Trials’ (2015)

Now that they’ve escaped the Maze, Thomas and his fellow Gladers venture into the dangerous, scorched landscape to learn the truth behind the shadowy organization WCKD and a deadly plague that’s wiping out much of the population. Wes Ball directs this second installment, bringing back stars Dylan O’Brien, Kaya Scodelario, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, and Ki Hong Lee, and adding new faces like Giancarlo Esposito and Aidan Gillen. The movie builds on the story’s world, introducing new groups, terrifying infected creatures, and a conspiracy that’s quickly growing more dangerous.

5. ‘About My Father’ (2023)

This comedy follows a stand-up comedian who brings his traditional Italian-American father to meet his girlfriend’s wealthy family for a holiday weekend – and things get pretty chaotic! Starring Sebastian Maniscalco as himself and Robert De Niro as his father, Salvo, the film is directed by Laura Terruso and written by Maniscalco and Austen Earl. It’s inspired by Maniscalco’s own life and brings his on-stage personality to the screen in a funny, relatable family story. Leslie Bibb, Anders Holm, and Kim Cattrall also star.

4. ‘Despicable Me 3’ (2017)

In the new Illumination movie, Gru unexpectedly learns he has a twin brother named Dru. At the same time, he’s battling Balthazar Bratt, a supervillain with a fondness for the 1980s. Directed by Pierre Coffin and Kyle Balda, and written by Cinco Paul and Ken Daurio, the film stars Steve Carell as both Gru and Dru, alongside Kristen Wiig as Lucy and Trey Parker as Bratt. It’s a fast-paced adventure filled with family fun and the usual chaotic antics of the Minions.

3. ‘The Maze Runner’ (2014)

Thomas, a teenage boy, finds himself in a mysterious place called the Glade with no memory of his past. He quickly joins other boys who are working together to explore a huge, ever-changing maze filled with dangerous creatures. The movie, directed by Wes Ball and adapted from James Dashner’s book, features Dylan O’Brien as Thomas, Kaya Scodelario as Teresa, and Will Poulter as Gally. This first film was so popular that it led to two more movies, continuing the story of the Gladers and their adventures beyond the Maze.

2. ‘The Woman in Cabin 10’ (2025)

A journalist on a lavish charity cruise thinks she sees an attack, but no one believes her. The film, directed by Simon Stone and based on a novel by Ruth Ware, stars Keira Knightley as Lo Blacklock, alongside Guy Pearce, Gugu Mbatha-Raw, and David Ajala. Filming took place partly on the actual superyacht Savannah, enhancing the film’s sleek and confined atmosphere.

1. ‘KPop Demon Hunters’ (2025)

HUNTR/X, a popular animated K-pop group consisting of Rumi, Mira, and Zoey, leads a double life as demon slayers in this action-packed musical. The film, co-directed by Maggie Kang and Chris Appelhans and featuring the voices of Arden Cho, Ahn Hyo-seop, and Ken Jeong, combines the excitement of a world tour with a supernatural battle to protect their fans from hidden dangers.
