As a total crime drama fan, I’m really hooked on this Polish series set in Szczecin. It’s created by Marta Szymanek and directed by Xawery Żuławski, and the cast is fantastic – you’ll recognize names like Katarzyna Wajda, Bartłomiej Kotschedoff, and even Bogusław Linda. The latest episodes dropped on October 17th, so I’m catching up right now!
Tomasz Naumiuk handled the cinematography, and Łukasz Targosz composed the music for the show, with scripts written by Marta Szymanek and Piotr Gerard Szymanek. The second season broadened the investigation, but still focused on Zawieja’s personal story, and the next set of episodes will be released on Friday, October 17th.

‘Who Saw the Peacock Dance in the Jungle?’ (2025)
As a huge fan of crime dramas, I’m really excited about this new Japanese series! It’s based on a manga called ‘Kujaku no Dansu, Dare ga Mita?’ and it’s a live-action take on the story. Basically, it follows a woman named Komugi who finds a letter after her ex-police officer father is killed. This letter throws her into a complicated conspiracy, and it seems like someone who was executed years ago might not have been guilty after all. The cast is fantastic – Suzu Hirose, Kenichi Matsuyama, and Win Morisaki are all starring in it. It’s coming out on October 17th, and I’ve already marked my calendar!
The series combines legal drama with a criminal investigation as Komugi partners with a lawyer to uncover secrets from the past. Originally planned for release in 2025, it’s continuing to become available, starting this Friday, October 17th.
