NYCC Panel Reveals First Details Regarding ‘Vision Quest’

Marvel Studios has revealed some initial information about *VisionQuest*, a new limited series coming to Disney+ that will continue the story of the character Vision.

Created by Terry Matalas, this series is a spin-off of the 2021 hit show *WandaVision*. It’s planned as part of Phase Six of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is currently scheduled to debut in 2026.

Paul Bettany will reprise his role as Vision, and he’ll be joined by returning and new cast members including James Spader, Ruaridh Mollica, Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Emily Hampshire, Orla Brady, Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and James D’Arcy.

Production occurred at Pinewood Studios in London between March and July. The episodes were directed by Brandon Braga, alongside Christopher J. Byrne, Gandja Monteiro, and Vincenzo Natali.

Originally announced in October 2022 as *Vision Quest*, the series went through some changes. Jac Schaeffer initially led the writing team but later left the project. John Matalas then took over and reworked the show, and confirmed that Jeremy Bettany would return.

At New York Comic Con, Marvel Studios shared some initial information about the upcoming series. White Vision will possess all of the original Vision’s memories, but he’ll have difficulty processing and understanding feelings.

Ruaridh Mollica will play the role of Speed, the son of Vision and Wanda. Several familiar AI characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe—like Ultron, F.R.I.D.A.Y., E.D.I.T.H., J.A.R.V.I.S., and DUM-E—will also appear, portrayed as humans.

Vision Quest promises to be an emotionally rich story for Vision, and it will also feature some surprising returns from characters we know and love in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. With eight episodes planned, the series should offer a deep and satisfying exploration of this new storyline.
