Marvel Studios has confirmed that their new Disney+ series, *Wonder Man*, will premiere in January 2026.
The series will have eight episodes and is planned as part of the sixth phase of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, debuting under the “Marvel Spotlight” label. A trailer has also been released, offering viewers a first glimpse of the show.
“Have you given any thought about casting?” #WonderMan

Yahya Abdul-Mateen II plays Simon Williams, the superhero Wonder Man, in this series. Williams is a performer with superpowers who also works as an actor and stuntman, and he unexpectedly gets cast in a TV show about superheroes.
The cast also includes Ben Kingsley returning as Trevor Slattery, Demetrius Grosse playing Simon’s brother, Eric Williams, who also appears as the Grim Reaper, Ed Harris as Simon’s agent Neal Saroyan, and Arian Moayed as P. Cleary, an agent from the Department of Damage Control.
The movie’s cast is growing! Zlatko Burić, Lauren Glazier, Josh Gad, Byron Bowers, Béchir Sylvain, and Manny McCord have all joined the project, though their characters haven’t been announced yet.
The series is created by Destin Daniel Cretton and Andrew Guest, with Guest serving as showrunner.
I’m so excited about this show! Craig Breslow directed the first couple of episodes, and Stella Meghie, James Ponsoldt, and Tiffany Johnson each took the helm for others. We started filming back in April 2023 in Los Angeles, but unfortunately had to pause when the writers went on strike. Thankfully, everything got back on track in early 2024, and they finished shooting in April. I can’t wait to see it!
