Rhea Seehorn, known for her work with Vince Gilligan on *Better Call Saul*, plays the main character, Carol Sturka, in the series.
Apple TV+’s new show centers around a writer who strangely isn’t affected by a virus causing everyone else to be constantly cheerful and positive.
Apple has committed to two seasons of the new show. The first season has nine episodes, and the first two will be available to watch starting November 7th. After that, new episodes will be released weekly on Fridays, with the last episode arriving on December 26th.
I was really pleased to see Karolina Wydra as Zosia and Carlos Manuel Vesga as Manusos in the cast – they both brought something special to their roles. And honestly, the guest appearances were fantastic! Miriam Shor, Samba Schutte, and even Peter Bergman popped up, which was a really nice surprise for a fan like me.
After finishing work on Better Call Saul in August 2022, Vince Gilligan proposed a new series. Apple TV+ quickly acquired the rights in September 2022, commissioning two seasons right away. Rhea Seehorn will star in the show, and Gilligan is leading the project as showrunner and executive producer.
The show’s production was slowed down by the 2023 Writers Guild of America strike, which caused a temporary pause in writing for the first season.
Filming for the movie, initially known as *Wycaro 339*, started in February 2024 and finished in September 2024 after seven months of shooting in Albuquerque. Karolina Wydra joined the cast in March 2024, and in July 2025, the movie’s official title, *Pluribus*, was announced, along with its release date.
The latest trailer gives viewers a first look at the show’s interesting sci-fi idea and creator Dan Gilligan’s well-known storytelling approach. Those familiar with his past projects are excited to see how he tackles a story about a virus that makes people forcibly happy.
