Exclusive Gear

Overview

Large AOE

Highest base M.ATK in the game

Extremely expensive cost

Low damage by 2025 standards

Poor synergy with her other costume, Emerging Desire

Limited collab costume, which means she is unlikely to get stronger in the future.

Roxy for PVE

Roxy’s abilities are a little tricky to understand, but here’s the breakdown: at level +5, she deals 450% damage to her primary target and 350% to everyone else. When fully upgraded to +5, that increases to 600% damage to the main target and 400% to all other targets.

When Roxy was first introduced, her damage output was seen as reasonable for a powerful, long-range attack, especially considering her naturally high attack stat (407). However, newer costumes, like Prophetic Dream Darian, now deal significantly more damage – over 1,000%. Because her other costume (Emerging Desire) deals even less damage, Roxy isn’t very effective for consistent damage in PvE content. As a result, she’s generally considered a weaker attacker in PvP.

Roxy isn’t very effective in combat, and she’s also quite expensive to use, costing 6 SP. While some other characters also have a high SP cost, Roxy doesn’t deliver enough power to make it worthwhile. For comparison, Celebrity Bunny Loen can deal significantly more damage than Roxy – up to three times as much – while covering the same area and costing the same amount of SP.

While Roxy sometimes excels at hitting multiple enemies at once with her large area-of-effect attacks, she generally won’t be a strong choice for challenging end-game content and currently performs below average in player-versus-environment scenarios.

Roxy for PVP

Let’s be real: are you really going to bring a 6 SP costume into a PVP battle?

Okay, so I’ve been trying out Respected Master Roxy, and honestly, she’s a bit rough early on. You start with only 5 SP, so you can’t use her special attack on your first turn. And even when defending, her damage just isn’t high enough to consistently take enemies down. It’s a struggle!

Use Respected Master Roxy in PvP only after using Emerging Desire Roxy. Emerging Desire is valuable for PvP attack teams because of her ability to silence all enemies for just 1 Skill Point. If you start with Emerging Desire Roxy, Respected Master Roxy is the best costume to use next.

Roxy’s exclusive weapon

Before you invest in Roxy, it’s crucial to remember that her special equipment is available in limited quantities.

To get Roxy’s attack as high as possible, you need to raise her to +5 and get her special gear before the limited-time offer ends. This gear significantly boosts her Magic Attack by 45%. If you don’t get it during the limited banner, you’ll never have another chance to get that extra power.

Since Roxy is not a top tier attacker, investing in her unique weapon is not recommended.

Conclusion

Compared to recently released, incredibly strong characters like Darian and Tyr, Roxy feels quite weak. She came out about a year and a half ago, and now her damage output is significantly lower than other top-tier water units used for PvE content. She also costs a lot of SP to use. While Roxy does have a large area-of-effect attack, her low damage per hit often makes it difficult for her to quickly defeat groups of enemies.

Okay, so I’m a big Mushoku Tensei fan, and honestly, if you’re not, you probably don’t *need* Respected Master Roxy. The only reason I’d pull for her is if I’m already using Emerging Desire Roxy on my main PvP team. If not, I’d say save those tickets for something else!
