Following the events of the 2023 film *Mutant Mayhem*, this new short from Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon finds the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles dealing with the downsides of sudden fame. When a questionable toy company starts making money off their likeness, the brothers head to New Jersey to investigate. What begins as a straightforward plan soon spirals into a chaotic and unpredictable adventure.
Kent Seki, known for his cinematography work on *Mutant Mayhem*, is directing the project. The screenplay is written by Andrew Joustra, who also contributed to the story of *Mutant Mayhem*. Jeff Rowe, the director of *Mutant Mayhem*, along with Ramsay McBean and the team at Point Grey Pictures – Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, and James Weaver – are all returning as producers.
The animated short premiered on June 10th at the Annecy International Animation Film Festival, as part of a presentation of films from Paramount Animation and Nickelodeon. Viewers at the festival enjoyed its witty humor and lively animation, which felt similar in style to the movie *Mutant Mayhem*.
Good news for those who didn’t get to see it at the festival: *Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey* will be in theaters on December 19th, before *The SpongeBob Movie: Search for SquarePants*. According to Variety, the film looks like it will have the same striking and unique visual style as *Mutant Mayhem*, which fans loved.
The team behind the first movie has reunited for *Chrome Alone 2 – Lost in New Jersey*, which promises a new and exciting adventure filled with fun and action for everyone to enjoy.
