10. ‘Ms. Rachel’ (2025)
Ms. Rachel is a fun and educational preschool show created by Rachel Accurso, who is both a teacher and musician. The show uses catchy songs, repeating phrases, and encourages kids to participate to help them learn the alphabet, numbers, colors, and common words. Available on Netflix, each episode is short and focuses on a specific lesson, with Ms. Rachel leading viewers in ways to improve their speech. She’s joined by pianist and producer Aron Accurso and other guests like Keisha Gilles.
This series, made by Rachel and Aron Accurso of Songs for Littles, is meant to be watched with young children. It uses hand motions and pauses so kids can easily participate and respond. The version on Netflix also has subtitles in many languages, making it available to families around the world.
9. ‘Halo’ (2022)
The TV series ‘Halo’ is set in the 26th century and based on the popular Xbox games. It tells the story of the war between humanity (the UNSC) and the Covenant, focusing on the hero Master Chief (played by Pablo Schreiber). The first season explores the origins of the Spartan program created by Dr. Halsey, the introduction of the AI Cortana, and the first hints about an ancient race called the Forerunners. The cast also includes Natascha McElhone as Dr. Halsey, Shabana Azmi as Parangosky, Yerin Ha as Kwan Ha, and Olive Gray as Miranda Keyes.
Created for television by Kyle Killen and Steven Kane, the series combines real-life combat with the rich history of the Halo universe, drawing from stories developed by Bungie and 343 Industries. Originally debuting on Paramount+, the first season later became available on Netflix, introducing the show’s beginnings to a wider audience.
8. ‘House of Guinness’ (2025)
The series ‘House of Guinness’ begins in Dublin in 1868 with the death of the Guinness family’s founder, sparking a battle for control of the brewery among his four children. The show stars Anthony Boyle as Arthur Guinness, Louis Partridge as Edward Guinness, and Emily Fairn as Anne Plunket, and explores themes of family drama, business rivalry, and the political climate of the time.
Created by Steven Knight, the mind behind ‘Peaky Blinders,’ this eight-episode series is a Netflix production. Knight focuses on rich historical detail and power struggles, featuring a talented young cast alongside established actors like James Norton.
7. ‘Raw’ (1993)
Starting in 2025, WWE’s main show, ‘Raw,’ will be streamed live on Netflix. Fans can watch matches, follow exciting championship stories, and experience the high-energy world of WWE with their favorite Superstars. Netflix will feature a constantly updated list of episodes with previews and information, all categorized as ‘sports entertainment’ and rated TV-PG.
The live episode on September 29, 2025, which was streamed from Raleigh, North Carolina, was especially popular and generated a lot of discussion. Like all content on Netflix, its success is tracked by how long people watch it – specifically, using Netflix’s “views” metric based on watch time.
6. ‘Ángela’ (2024)
‘Ángela’ is a Spanish thriller about a woman (Verónica Sánchez) trapped in a difficult marriage. When her husband becomes abusive, she considers a risky escape with an old classmate, Edu (Jaime Zatarain). Daniel Grao plays Gonzalo, and Lucía Jiménez and María Isabel Díaz Lago also appear in the film.
The miniseries, directed by Norberto López Amado and written by Leire Albinarrate, Sara Cano, and Paula Fabra, combines the tension of a family drama with the intrigue of a crime story. The choices made by Ángela set off a chain of events that impact those around her.
5. ‘Black Rabbit’ (2025)
‘Black Rabbit,’ created by Zach Baylin and Kate Susman, follows Jake Friedken (Jude Law), a successful New York restaurant owner whose world turns upside down when his long-lost brother, Vince (Jason Bateman), reappears and drags him into a dangerous criminal network in Manhattan. The cast also includes Cleopatra Coleman, Ṣọpẹ́ Dìrísù, Amaka Okafor, and Troy Kotsur.
This eight-part thriller was directed by Jason Bateman for the initial episodes, with later episodes directed by Laura Linney, Justin Kurzel, and Ben Semanoff. The series is executive produced by Baylin, Susman, Bateman, Law, and Michael Costigan, and it first aired on September 18, 2025.
4. ‘Doc’ (2025– )
‘Doc’ is an American medical drama series created by Barbie Kligman and based on the popular Italian show ‘Doc – Nelle tue mani.’ The series centers around Dr. Amy Larsen, played by Molly Parker, a highly skilled doctor who suffers an accident and loses her memory of the past eight years. She must then work to reconstruct both her personal life and her career. The show also stars Omar Metwally, Jon-Michael Ecker, Amirah Vann, Anya Banerjee, Patrick Walker, Charlotte Fountain-Jardim, and, starting in season two, Felicity Huffman.
As a total film and TV buff, I was really excited to hear about the production details! The first season’s episodes, each around 44 minutes long, were a collaboration between Fox and Sony Pictures, and they actually filmed everything up in Toronto. But what *really* got me talking was Season 2 – a whopping 22 episodes! That’s pretty unusual for a network drama these days. And thankfully, if you’re in the US, you can catch the episodes streaming on Netflix after they air on Fox.
3. ‘Love Is Blind’ (2020– )
The latest season of the Netflix reality show *Love is Blind* follows singles in Denver, Colorado, as they try to find love and get engaged without ever seeing each other face-to-face. They date using ‘pods’ – private spaces where they can talk but not see each other – and then test their connections in the real world. This season includes over 30 contestants and new episodes are released each week.
Season 9 of the show, hosted by Nick and Vanessa Lachey and produced by Kinetic Content, featured contestants from the Denver area and included follow-up events held locally. While new episodes of Season 9 are still being released on Netflix, the show has already chosen its location for the next season.
2. ‘Monster: The Ed Gein Story’ (2025)
The newest season of Netflix’s ‘Monster’ series tells the story of Ed Gein’s crimes and how they influenced American movies and culture. Charlie Hunnam stars as Gein, and the cast also includes Suzanna Son, Laurie Metcalf, and Tom Hollander. The show combines the details of the real-life Plainfield case with reflections on how it inspired films like ‘Psycho.’
As a huge fan of this show, I’ve been following everything closely! This season, Ian Brennan is the main creative force, though the whole anthology idea comes from him and Ryan Murphy together. I’ve been reading a lot about who’s involved – both in front of and behind the camera – and it’s fascinating to learn how they’re taking real historical figures and events, especially those connected to Hitchcock and the media landscape of the mid-20th century, and turning them into fiction. It’s a really clever approach!
1. ‘Wayward’ (2025)
‘Wayward’ is a mystery-thriller created by and starring Mae Martin. The show takes place in Tall Pines, Vermont, and centers on a boarding school for troubled teens that’s hiding some dark secrets. Martin plays Alex Dempsey, a local police officer, while Toni Collette plays Evelyn, the head of the academy. The story follows two teenagers trying to escape and the adults who get caught up in the school’s hidden truths. Sarah Gadon, Alyvia Alyn Lind, and Sydney Topliffe also star.
The eight-episode series was mostly filmed in Ontario, and was initially known as ‘Tall Pines.’ The creator has spoken about what inspired the story, and the production made a point of filming in various Canadian locations, including Millbrook and Christie Lake Conservation Area.
