Paradox Interactive has revealed that the Crusader Kings 3: All Under Heaven expansion will launch on PC on October 28, 2025. This large update will add China, Japan, and Southeast Asia as playable regions to the game, along with new features and gameplay designed specifically for those areas.
In the game, players compete for control of China, aiming to earn the Mandate of Heaven and become the dominant power. However, success isn’t guaranteed – the same strengths that bring power can also lead to downfall. Japan faces internal conflict, with powerful families vying for control – will the emperor regain authority, or will a shogun seize power? Across Southeast Asia, life revolves around magnificent temples and the rule of divine kings.
The rise of powerful empires in the East will definitely be felt by players starting in Europe. New ideas and wealth from China will flow along the Silk Road, offering advantages to those who can capitalize on them. Plus, new events like natural disasters and large-scale projects will impact the entire game world.
As a huge Crusader Kings fan, I was so excited to hear about ‘All Under Heaven’! Game director Alexander Oltner explained that adding East Asia has been a long-held dream for the team – even before he took the lead! They’ve always wanted to tell the story of the *entire* medieval world, and that just wasn’t possible without including this region. Apparently, it’s their biggest expansion ever, which meant a lot of new hurdles to overcome, but they really hope we, as players, enjoy discovering everything it has to offer.
