The last trailer for *Predator: Badlands* has been released, and it confirms that this will be the first *Predator* film rated PG-13.

A new poster has also been released. Watch the trailer below.

A Predator With No Humans in Sight

The futuristic film *Badlands* takes place on a distant alien world. It centers on Dek, a young Predator who’s been exiled, and Thia, an android (played by Elle Fanning) who is only a torso. Together, with newcomer Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi as Dek, they brave a harsh landscape, hunting dangerous creatures and searching for a powerful enemy.

The movie will be shown in theaters and IMAX starting November 7th. Special formats will also be available, including Dolby Cinema, RealD 3D, 4DX, and ScreenX.

First PG-13 Predator Movie

The latest installment, *Badlands*, is trying something new by appealing to a wider range of viewers. Though it has a less mature rating than previous games, producer Ben Rosenblatt assures fans that it will still feature plenty of action and fighting.

We’re aiming for a PG-13 rating, but we want it to *feel* like a more mature, R-rated movie,” Rosenblatt explained to IGN. “We’ll push the limits as much as possible while still staying within those guidelines.

He explained that the absence of human characters plays into the studio’s strategy.

Since there are no people in the film, there won’t be any human blood. We’re planning some really intense and shocking scenes, but we’ll be using colors other than red to depict them.

All-Aliens Carnage

Dek will battle many different alien creatures, with the only human-like opponents being androids created by Weyland-Yutani. This unique approach let the filmmakers deliver more intense science fiction action while still keeping the movie rated PG-13.

The latest trailer gives a better look at the action, including intense monster battles and realistic special effects. It also highlights the unusual friendship between the characters Dek and Thia. Even though the movie is rated PG-13, it appears to be a unique, strange, and violent addition to the *Predator* franchise.

Let the intergalactic hunt begin.
