This week’s most popular shows on Hulu cover a wide range, including compelling true-crime documentaries, popular unscripted series, exciting new comedies, and network dramas available the day after they air. It gives you a clear picture of what viewers are currently watching – established favorites alongside brand new shows premiering in 2025 and recently released seasons.

This also highlights just how extensive Hulu’s library is now-particularly with shows becoming available to stream so quickly after they air on ABC and Fox.

10. ‘Death in Apartment 603: What Happened to Ellen Greenberg?’ (2025)

As a true crime buff, I recently watched this fascinating three-part docuseries about the death of Ellen Greenberg. Back in 2011, she was found with twenty stab wounds in her Philadelphia apartment, and the police officially ruled it a suicide. But the series really focuses on her family’s tireless fight to challenge that ruling. They just didn’t believe it, and the show follows their journey as they try to get the investigation reopened and push for a different conclusion. It’s a really compelling story, and I highly recommend it if you’re into this genre. It’s definitely thought-provoking.

Available on Hulu, the show details the timeline of events, disagreements between forensic experts, and the legal battles over how Greenberg’s death was categorized. It uses interviews and documents related to this ongoing and well-known public debate. More information can be found online.

Inspired by Eli Manning’s popular ‘Chad Powers’ persona, this sports comedy features Glen Powell as a former college quarterback trying to secretly return to the game using a new name. The Hulu series began streaming on September 30, 2025, with new episodes released every Tuesday. Learn more about the show’s origins.

The series was created by Glen Powell and Michael Waldron, and features executive producers like Eli and Peyton Manning, along with their partners at Omaha Productions. Publicity and recent interviews with Powell and Manning have helped promote the show on ESPN’s various platforms. It’s been a collaborative effort to get the word out.

8. ‘Doc’ (2025– )

‘Doc’ is a medical show centered around Dr. Amy Larsen, a doctor who suffers amnesia-losing memories from several years-after being in a car accident. 7. ‘Only Murders in the Building’ (2021– )

As a big mystery fan, I recently discovered this Hulu original, and I’m hooked! It’s about three neighbors who live in an Upper West Side building and end up becoming amateur detectives – and they even start a podcast about it – after some really strange deaths happen. It was created by Steve Martin and John Hoffman, and what I really love is how it perfectly mixes mystery with comedy. It first came out in 2021, and they’ve released several seasons since then. It’s a really fun watch! I highly recommend it if you’re looking for something lighthearted but engaging.

The show features a central cast of Steve Martin, Martin Short, and Selena Gomez. Throughout the seasons, they’re joined by a variety of returning and one-time guest stars. The series is produced by Dan Fogelman and Jess Rosenthal, in addition to the show’s creators and leading actors.

5. ‘Shifting Gears’ (2025– )

‘Shifting Gears’ is a family comedy that airs on ABC. It features Tim Allen as a man who runs an auto-repair shop and is raising his family alone after the loss of his wife. His life gets a shake-up when his daughter, who he hasn’t been close to for a while, and her two children come to live with him. The first season started in January 2025, and Season 2 began on October 1, 2025. After they air on TV, you can watch the episodes on Hulu.

4. ‘Dancing with the Stars’ (2005– )

I absolutely love watching Dancing with the Stars! The U.S. version teams up celebrities with incredibly talented professional dancers. You can catch the live shows on ABC, and if you miss them, they’re always available to stream the next day on Hulu. Since 2023, Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough have been hosting, and the judges – Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough, and Bruno Tonioli – always give such insightful feedback. I was so excited when Season 34 premiered in September 2025!

As a longtime fan, it’s fascinating to see how this show is made! BBC Studios Los Angeles has been a key part of the production for years, and I’ve noticed different directors have shaped its look – Alex Rudzinski in the earlier seasons, and now Phil Heyes. It’s great that it consistently airs in a prime spot – Tuesdays in primetime – and that Hulu makes each episode available the very next day. It really makes staying up-to-date so easy!

3. ‘Abbott Elementary’ (2021– )

I’m so excited about this show! It’s a really funny workplace comedy that centers around teachers at a public school in Philadelphia. What’s cool is you can watch it on Hulu the day after it airs on ABC. The fifth season kicked off on October 1, 2025, and they’re releasing new episodes every week throughout the fall – I can’t wait to see what happens! It’s become a fall tradition for me.

The series was created by and stars Quinta Brunson, and also features a talented ensemble cast including Tyler James Williams, Janelle James, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Chris Perfetti, Lisa Ann Walter, and William Stanford Davis.

2. ‘Reasonable Doubt’ (2022– )

‘Reasonable Doubt’ takes place in Los Angeles and follows Jax Stewart, a successful lawyer, as she tackles challenging cases while also dealing with her own personal struggles. The show is an Onyx Collective production for Hulu. Kerry Washington directed the first episode, and the series has continued with several seasons on the streaming service.

Raamla Mohamed is the creator and lead producer of the show.
