10. ‘Greyhound’ (2020)

As a huge cinema fan, I’m really excited about this new film! It’s set during the Battle of the Atlantic, and follows a U.S. Navy commander – a new appointment, actually – as he’s tasked with guiding a convoy of Allied ships. The tricky part? He’s up against a dangerous group of German U-boats – they call them a wolf pack. And get this – Tom Hanks plays Captain Ernest Krause! With Stephen Graham and Elisabeth Shue also starring, it sounds like a fantastic supporting cast.

Aaron Schneider directed the film, with a screenplay written by Hanks. The script is based on C. S. Forester’s novel, ‘The Good Shepherd’. According to Apple TV+, the movie has a runtime of 91 minutes and is rated PG-13. It was nominated for an Oscar in 2021.

The voice cast includes Peter Robbins as Charlie Brown and Christopher Shea as Linus.

1. ‘The Lost Bus’ (2025)

As a total movie buff, I was really moved by the story behind ‘The Lost Bus’. It’s inspired by the devastating 2018 Camp Fire in California, and it follows this incredibly tense rescue mission. Basically, it’s about a dad – played by Matthew McConaughey as Kevin McKay – who drives right *into* the fire to help a teacher, Mary Ludwig (America Ferrera), get her students to safety. The film really captures the danger and the impossible decisions people faced during that wildfire. It’s a truly dramatic and harrowing journey.

Paul Greengrass directed the film and also co-wrote the screenplay with Brad Ingelsby. According to the Apple TV+ listing, it runs for 2 hours and 9 minutes and is rated R due to language. Yul Vazquez and Ashlie Atkinson appear in supporting roles.
