Right now, Paramount+ offers a wide variety of shows – you’ll find classic cartoons and popular crime dramas, as well as new and returning hit series. Wondering what everyone is watching? Here’s a simple guide to the ten shows getting the most attention each week on the platform.
Here are quick and helpful summaries for each show: we cover the plot, the cast, and the creators-helping you choose what to watch (or rewatch) without spending ages researching.
10. ‘Survivor’ (2000–present)
‘Survivor’ is the American version of a reality-competition show created by Charlie Parsons. It’s produced by Mark Burnett and has been hosted by Jeff Probst since it first aired in 2000. In the show, participants are stranded, divided into teams, and face challenges. They eliminate each other through voting until only one Sole Survivor is left.
Over its 49 seasons and more than 700 episodes, the show has changed how it’s designed and how long each episode is. Newer seasons typically last around 64 minutes when shown on CBS and are then available to stream on Paramount+. Jeff Probst also works as an executive producer, along with Matt Parsons.
9. ‘Frasier’ (1993–2004)
Created by David Angell, Peter Casey, and David Lee as a continuation of ‘Cheers,’ Frasier centers on psychiatrist Dr. Frasier Crane-portrayed by Kelsey Grammer-who returns to Seattle to work as a radio host. The show follows his life with his father, Martin (John Mahoney), and his interactions with brother Niles (David Hyde Pierce), producer Roz (Peri Gilpin), and Daphne (Jane Leeves). It’s a comedic look at family and relationships.
The show originally aired on NBC for 11 seasons, totaling 264 episodes, and earned an unprecedented number of Primetime Emmy Awards. A reboot premiered on Paramount+ in 2023 and lasted for two seasons before being considered for other platforms in early 2025. Both the original series and the revival are currently available to stream on Paramount+.
8. ‘Dexter’ (2006–2013)
‘Dexter’, a television series created by James Manos Jr. and based on the novels by Jeff Lindsay, features Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan. He plays a blood-spatter analyst for the Miami Metro police department who secretly leads a double life as a vigilante serial killer, operating under a strict personal “code”. Throughout the show’s original run, the main cast included Jennifer Carpenter, Julie Benz, Lauren Vélez, David Zayas, James Remar, and C. S. Lee, with Desmond Harrington and Aimee Garcia joining later in the series.
The show ran for eight seasons, totaling 96 episodes. Clyde Phillips oversaw the first four seasons, and Chip Johannessen and Scott Buck later took on showrunning duties. In 2021-2022, it led to the limited series ‘Dexter: New Blood’; the original show remains popular and is still available on Paramount+ in certain areas.
7. ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’ (2025–present)
I’m so excited about ‘NCIS: Tony & Ziva’! It’s a new spinoff on Paramount+ that brings back Michael Weatherly as Tony DiNozzo and Cote de Pablo as Ziva David. The show follows them as they deal with dangerous international situations and balance life with their daughter, Tali. It was created by John McNamara, who also executive produces it alongside Weatherly and de Pablo – a fantastic team!
The show first launched on Paramount+ on September 4, 2025. The first season features a cast including Amita Suman, Maximilian Osinski, Lara Rossi, and Julian Ovenden, among others. The initial episodes set the scene in Europe and tie into what happened in the original series.
6. ‘Everybody Loves Raymond’ (1996–2005)
‘Everybody Loves Raymond’, created by Philip Rosenthal and starring Ray Romano, is a sitcom about sportswriter Ray Barone, his wife Debra, and the rest of his large family living on Long Island. The show, which ran for nine seasons and 210 episodes, features a main cast including Romano, Patricia Heaton, Brad Garrett, Doris Roberts, Peter Boyle, Madylin Sweeten, and Monica Horan.
The show first aired on CBS from 1996 to 2005 and is still considered a very important multi-camera sitcom. A special reunion to celebrate the show’s 30th anniversary, featuring Romano and Rosenthal along with the remaining original cast members, will broadcast on CBS and be available to stream on Paramount+ on November 24, 2025.
5. ‘Criminal Minds’ (2005–2020)
‘Criminal Minds’ follows the FBI’s Behavioral Analysis Unit as they create profiles of dangerous criminals throughout the United States. The show, created by Jeff Davis, ran for 15 seasons and starred a talented group of actors, including Mandy Patinkin, Thomas Gibson, Shemar Moore, Matthew Gray Gubler, AJ Cook, Paget Brewster, Joe Mantegna, Kirsten Vangsness, Adam Rodriguez, and Aisha Tyler.
The show originally aired on CBS from 2005 to 2020 and has continued with ‘Criminal Minds: Evolution’ on Paramount+. This new series brings back familiar actors to investigate more complex, extended cases. The original series is still a key part of the show’s overall collection.
4. ‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ (1999–present)
‘SpongeBob SquarePants’ was created by Stephen Hillenburg, who is a marine-science educator and animator. The show follows the escapades of SpongeBob, Patrick, and all their friends in Bikini Bottom. The main voice actors are Tom Kenny, Bill Fagerbakke, Rodger Bumpass, Clancy Brown, Mr. Lawrence, Jill Talley, Carolyn Lawrence, Mary Jo Catlett, and Lori Alan. Over time, the show has had different leaders – it started with Hillenburg, then moved to Paul Tibbitt, and most recently to Marc Ceccarelli and Vincent Waller.
The series first aired in 1999 on Nickelodeon and has grown to include hundreds of episodes, several movies, and spin-off shows. It continues to release new seasons and is available on many streaming platforms. Even after his passing, Stephen Hillenburg was still listed as an executive producer. Today, the franchise is overseen by Nickelodeon and United Plankton Pictures.
3. ‘NCIS’ (2003–present)
‘NCIS’ is the leading crime drama that centers around the Major Case Response Team within the Naval Criminal Investigative Service. Originally a spin-off from ‘JAG’, it first aired in 2003, created by Donald P. Bellisario and Don McGill. Throughout its many seasons, the show has showcased a changing group of characters, consistently featuring leads like Leroy Jethro Gibbs, Timothy McGee, Abby Sciuto, and Dr. Donald “Ducky” Mallard.
Over many seasons, the show has broadcast hundreds of episodes and created several spin-offs. All of these follow a similar format – a new case each week – while also developing the characters’ stories over time. It has a long history at CBS and is now also available on Paramount+.
2. ‘Tulsa King’ (2022–present)
I’m really enjoying ‘Tulsa King’, a new crime drama by Taylor Sheridan. It stars Sylvester Stallone as Dwight “The General” Manfredi – he plays a Mafia boss from New York who’s been sent to Oklahoma to build a new criminal operation. The cast is fantastic, including Andrea Savage, Martin Starr, Jay Will, Max Casella, Domenick Lombardozzi, Garrett Hedlund, and Dana Delany. I also know Terence Winter helped develop the show, and later, Dave Erickson took over as showrunner.
Season 2 was released in 2024, and Season 3 began airing in September 2025. The new season added more actors to the show, building on the stories surrounding Dwight and further developing both the police and rival family storylines as the series streams on Paramount+.
1. ‘South Park’ (1997–present)
‘South Park’, created by Trey Parker and Matt Stone, centers around four friends-Stan, Kyle, Cartman, and Kenny-growing up in a Colorado town nestled in the mountains. The show is known for its bold and often shocking stories that satirize current events and popular culture. Parker and Stone are heavily involved in the production, not only creating the series but also writing, directing, and providing the voices for many of the characters. Additional key voice actors include April Stewart and Mona Marshall. You can catch new seasons on Comedy Central, and they become available for streaming on Paramount+ the very next day.
The show first aired in 1997 and has since created many episodes, along with special events. Recently, in 2025, Paramount Global renewed its agreement with Parker and Stone. This new deal will bring 50 additional episodes across five seasons, and it ensures that all previous seasons are accessible for streaming on Paramount+. It’s a significant expansion of the show’s availability.
