Former One Direction bandmates, Louis Tomlinson and Zayn Malik, who have recently become friends again, are revisiting the past in a big way! They’ve announced that they took a road trip across the US, and the journey will be revealed in a new Netflix documentary series. The show, which will be released in three parts, will feature the two English singers discussing their experiences with fame and life in the public eye.
Zayn Malik and Louis Tomlinson are teaming up for a new documentary series
Reports from The Hollywood Reporter state that the pair will have an open and heartfelt conversation while traveling. According to a press release, the series offers a unique glimpse into the lives of two very famous, yet private, individuals, as they discuss life experiences, grief, and the joys of being fathers. Nicola Marsh will direct the series; she previously worked on documentaries about Demi Lovato (Child Star), Song Exploder, and Stay on Board: The Leo Baker Story.
The singers are reuniting after the sad loss of their bandmate, Liam Payne, and are likely to discuss it during their upcoming journey. This marks the first time they’ll appear together on screen since their very public disagreement regarding their time as a group. They previously criticized each other’s personal lives and careers, leading to a significant falling out between them.
Recently, they’ve been seen together on a few occasions – attending each other’s concerts and reconnecting as mature adults. It’s unclear if Niall Horan or Harry Styles, their other former bandmates, will be involved in any way. However, One Direction fans can definitely anticipate some heartfelt discussions about their time together from 2011 to 2015, including Zayn Malik’s departure and the disagreements that followed.
