‘The Sisters Grimm’ (2025)
Inspired by Michael Buckley’s popular books, ‘The Sisters Grimm’ tells the story of Sabrina and Daphne, two orphaned sisters who relocate to Ferryport Landing. This unique town is home to both humans and characters from fairy tales! The sisters begin looking into unusual events as they also try to find their parents. The voice actors include Ariel Winter as Sabrina, Laraine Newman as Relda, Abubakar Salim as Charming, and Billy Harris as Puck. The show is designed for kids and families and combines elements of mystery and fantasy.
Developed by showrunner Amy Higgins, the series features writing and executive production from Buckley and Elliot Blake. Created in collaboration with animation studio Titmouse, it maintains the core “detective-of-the-week” format of the original books, but also includes fresh storylines designed for streaming audiences. New episodes will begin to be released on October 3.
‘The Last Frontier’ (2025)
‘The Last Frontier’ takes place in the wild landscapes of Alaska and follows U.S. Marshal Frank Remnick. The story begins when a plane carrying prisoners crashes, releasing dangerous criminals into the isolated wilderness. Jason Clarke stars as Remnick, and he’s joined by Haley Bennett, Dominic Cooper, Simone Kessell, Dallas Goldtooth, Tait Blum, and Alfre Woodard. The plot combines the challenges of surviving in the harsh environment with a tense manhunt as Remnick tries to track down the escaped fugitives in and around a secluded town.
The series was created by Jon Bokenkamp and Richard D’Ovidio, and is a production of Apple Studios. Laura Benson and Glenn Kessler serve as executive producers. Filmed in dramatic, wide-open settings, the show premieres on October 10th. The episodes are crafted to highlight both the intense chase between characters and the difficult environmental conditions they face.
‘Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars’ (2025)
‘Knife Edge: Chasing Michelin Stars’ is an eight-episode documentary series offering a rare look inside the world of the Michelin Guide, following chefs as they strive to earn one, two, or three stars. The series is hosted by Jesse Burgess, a food journalist and co-founder of TopJaw, and takes viewers to restaurants in New York, Chicago, the Nordic countries, the U.K., Mexico, Italy, and California. It also features candid interviews with Michelin inspectors, who usually keep their identities secret.
The show, executive produced by Gordon Ramsay and produced by Studio Ramsay Global, features kitchens like Coqodaq, The Musket Room, Nōksu, Cariño, Esmé, Feld, Aure, Jordnær, Knystaforsen, Caractère, House, Wilsons, Em, Máximo, Agriturismo Ferdy, Kresios, Harbor House, Pasjoli, and Pasta|Bar. It will debut on October 10th and each episode focuses on the challenges, skill, and choices that are key to earning a Michelin star. It gives viewers a behind-the-scenes look at the rigorous Michelin process.
‘Loot’ (2022– )
‘Loot’ centers on Molly Wells, a generous benefactor, as she leads the Wells Foundation after a very public divorce that was covered by the tabloids. She’s also working to rebuild her own life and the direction of the foundation. Maya Rudolph returns as Molly, and she’s joined by the talented ensemble cast including Michaela Jaé Rodriguez, Nat Faxon, Ron Funches, and Joel Kim Booster. This new season delves into the consequences of Molly’s spontaneous decisions and how her relationships with her coworkers and potential partner, Arthur, are changing.
The workplace comedy series was created by Matt Hubbard and Alan Yang, who also serve as executive producers with Rudolph. Universal Television produces the show for Apple TV+. Season two premieres on October 15, picking up ongoing storylines that combine the company’s core projects with the characters’ personal lives. The episodes are directed and written by a team including the creators and their regular writing partners.
‘Mr. Scorsese’ (2025)
As a huge cinema fan, I’m really excited about the five-part documentary, ‘Mr. Scorsese’. It feels like a truly intimate portrait of Martin Scorsese, both as a person and as an artist. They’ve done a deep dive, using lots of conversations with him and accessing his personal archives. What’s especially amazing is who they spoke to – so many of his frequent collaborators and people who admire his work, like Robert De Niro, Leonardo DiCaprio, Daniel Day-Lewis, Steven Spielberg, Jodie Foster, Thelma Schoonmaker, Margot Robbie, and Cate Blanchett. The series apparently traces how certain ideas – things like faith, guilt, and finding redemption – keep popping up throughout his incredible career. It sounds like a fascinating look at the mind of a master filmmaker and I’m eager to watch it. You can find more information here.
Directed by Rebecca Miller and produced by Expanded Media, this project follows the director’s career, starting with their first student films and continuing to their current work. It will debut on October 17th, with each episode highlighting a different time in their career and the people they collaborated with. The presentation will also feature previously unreleased materials from personal archives, providing background and context for the films.
‘Down Cemetery Road’ (2025)
‘Down Cemetery Road’, based on the novels by Mick Herron featuring Zoë Boehm, begins with a house explosion in the suburbs and the disappearance of a young girl. This draws Sarah Trafford, a local resident played by Ruth Wilson, into an increasingly complex conspiracy. Emma Thompson stars as private investigator Zoë Boehm, and the story connects the girl’s disappearance to secrets from the past that affect Oxford’s colleges and hidden groups.
The series is written by Morwenna Banks and executive produced by Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Tom Nash, Emma Thompson, and Mick Herron. Natalie Bailey directed the show, and it was produced by 60Forty Films. The cast also features Adeel Akhtar, Nathan Stewart-Jarrett, Tom Goodman-Hill, Darren Boyd, Tom Riley, Adam Godley, Sinead Matthews, Ken Nwosu, Fehinti Balogun, and Aiysha Hart. It will first air on October 29.
‘The Morning Show’ (2019– )
‘The Morning Show’ gives a behind-the-scenes look at a national morning news program, exploring its challenges with scandals, battles for control within the company, and changes in how the media operates. Jennifer Aniston plays anchor Alex Levy, and Reese Witherspoon stars as reporter Bradley Jackson. Billy Crudup plays network executive Cory Ellison, and Mark Duplass is producer Chip Black. In later seasons, Nicole Beharie and Jon Hamm joined the cast in important roles.
The series was created by Jay Carson and developed by Kerry Ehrin. It’s a production of Media Res and Hello Sunshine for Apple TV+. Key episodes were directed by Mimi Leder, and the show is led by showrunners Kerry Ehrin and Charlotte Stoudt. They head up a large team of producers and writers who build each season around both dramatic events in the newsroom and the personal consequences those events have on the characters.
‘Slow Horses’ (2022– )
‘Slow Horses’ takes place at Slough House, essentially a place where MI5 sends agents who have fallen from grace. This disgraced but talented group of spies ends up tackling the missions no one else will take. Gary Oldman plays the grumpy Jackson Lamb, alongside Jack Lowden as River Cartwright and Kristin Scott Thomas as Diana Taverner. A team of familiar faces appears throughout the series, taking part in operations that really push the unit’s ability to think on their feet.
This adaptation is based on the ‘Slough House’ novels by Mick Herron and is produced by See-Saw Films for Apple TV+. The series is developed by writer Will Smith (U.K.) and each season draws its story from a different book. Directors like James Hawes and Jeremy Lovering help define the show’s style and speed, while a team of writers works to bring Herron’s complex and surprising plots to the screen in a way that suits a television series.
‘Severance’ (2022– )
‘Severance’ centers around a thought-provoking and unsettling procedure where a person’s work and personal memories are surgically separated. The story follows Mark Scout, an employee at Lumon Industries, and is led by Adam Scott, alongside Britt Lower, Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, and Christopher Walken. The series investigates themes of corporate power, what makes us who we are, and the impact of leading a life that’s completely split into two distinct parts.
The show was initially developed by Dan Erickson, with Ben Stiller (who also directed and served as executive producer) and Aoife McArdle directing early episodes. It’s produced by Fifth Season (previously known as Endeavor Content) and Red Hour, in partnership with Apple. The writing team, headed by Erickson, builds out the show’s complex story over multiple seasons. The show’s unsettling and methodical atmosphere is further enhanced by its production design and musical score.
‘Foundation’ (2021– )
Taking inspiration from the works of Isaac Asimov, ‘Foundation’ is a sweeping story that unfolds over centuries. It centers on Hari Seldon, a mathematician, whose system of psychohistory predicts a coming era of galactic decline, and a plan to minimize its duration. Jared Harris plays Seldon, while Lee Pace embodies the strict Brother Day. Lou Llobell and Leah Harvey star as Gaal Dornick and Salvor Hardin, respectively, and their decisions have far-reaching consequences across planets and through many generations.
Created by David S. Goyer and Josh Friedman, the series is a production of Skydance Television and Apple. Directors such as Rupert Sanders, Roxann Dawson, and Jennifer Phang helped build the show’s expansive and detailed world. Meanwhile, a writing team headed by Goyer crafted the season-long storylines, weaving together different timelines, political schemes, and scientific concepts.
