Disney+ just dropped a new trailer for Disney Twisted-Wonderland the Animation, offering fans another glimpse at the highly anticipated anime series.
I’m really excited because the show is coming out on October 29th! It’s part of Disney+’s big fall anime season, and they’re promising a whole bunch of new series and exclusive content for us viewers this season. I can’t wait to check it all out – it looks like a great lineup! You can find more details on their website.
The initial season will consist of eight episodes, adapting the “Episode of Heartslabyul” storyline from the original mobile game. Disney+ intends to continue the series; Season 2 will cover “Episode of Savanaclaw,” and Season 3 will focus on “Episode of Octavinelle.” Disney+ reports that Shin Katagai is directing the series for Yumeta Company and Graphinica, with Takahiro Natori as chief director and in charge of the scripts.
As a big fan, I’ve been following who’s behind the scenes, and it’s great to know that Yoichi Kato is the writer for the series. The character designs are being handled by Hanaka Nakano and Akane Sato, which is exciting – their work always looks fantastic!

The series boasts a talented voice cast that will bring these characters to life. Yohei Azakami voices Yuken Enma, Natsuki Hanae plays Riddle Rosehearts, Seiichiro Yamashita voices Ace Trappola, Chiaki Kobayashi is Deuce Space, Ryota Suzuki plays Trey Clover, Tatsuyuki Kobyashi voices Cater Diamond, Mitsuru Miyamoto is Dire Crowley, and Noriaki Sugiyama portrays Grim.
The trailer shows that Disney’s famous villains are key to the story, as the very magical school at the heart of it is connected to their power. “Disney’s villains are central to the story, specifically through the design of the main magical school, and we can expect their influence to extend to the magical abilities we’ll see in future episodes,” the official statement explained.
As a lifelong Disney enthusiast, I’m really excited about Disney Twisted-Wonderland the Animation. What’s so cool about it is how it takes the classic Disney magic and flips it, placing it in a surprisingly dark and intriguing magical school. It’s inspired by Disney villains, which is a brilliant touch! It’s giving longtime fans like me a fresh perspective on characters we already love, but within a completely new story and world. I think it’s a really innovative way to expand the Disney universe and I’m eager to see where it goes!
As the new fall anime season begins, Disney+ is hoping to attract viewers with this show and other content they’ll be releasing. The anime stands out thanks to its excellent animation, well-known voice cast, and the use of classic Disney villain elements, making it a highly anticipated release this season.
